Good for Old Light Bulb Sockets
This is one of those things I knew I needed, but didn't know existed. I really am pleased to have it. The little container will last a long time, and is easy to use. You really don't need much! And have something handy to wipe your finger after putting it on the metal part of the light bulb, as you don't want to get it on the glass bulb itself.

Could not find a source in town to buy this product. Ordered on line and received my order in 2 days. Good product and it worked as well as described. Good source for anyone who needs it.

Probably good, can't hurt.
Essentially no instructions on how or how much to apply. The lube is a solid, waxy cake in the container. It would be a little awkward to rub the lightbulb threads directly on the lube, so I used my finger to wipe some on to the threads of the bulb. I didn't notice much difference installing new bulbs with the lube applied, but that is never the issue. I'm banking on the reviews of others who say this makes removing bulbs easier. Its hard to know what part of the bulb thread is actually dragging on removal. I felt like I got adequate lube on the crests of the threads, but maybe not in the grooves.

It seems like at least one out of each fan breaks off
I always have trouble getting candelabra bulbs out of ceiling fans. It seems like at least one out of each fan breaks off, then I have to pull out pliers & try to get the base out that way. I saw this somewhere online & decided to try it. It's very thin, like a wax that you put on your finger then rub on the bulb. You almost can't see it on the bulb, so it's a little hard to tell if you have put enough on, but one container should last a very long time, probably a lifetime if you are using LED bulbs. The container has two little nubs that stick out of the front for you try pop the cap off (you push up on one & down on the other simultaneously). The top one was broken off mine, so it's a little harder to open, plus the wording was torn off the back of the cardboard package on mine, like there had been tape on the back that was removed, removing the wording underneath it. Fortunately the instructions are also written on the front of the plastic bin, so it wasn't a big deal. All in all, this stuff worked really well. You can tell the bulb screws in & out a bit easier than without using the product, and since it's a very light waxy substance, it didn't leave any residue anywhere.

Great light bulb lubricant!
This is great stuff! Works exactly as it claims it will. For years I've struggled with installing and removing light bulbs and the attendant problems (cross-threading, hard to turn, sometimes breaking a bulb while removing, etc, all the time wishing there was some kind of safe-to-use lubricant for the job. I never knew until now that such a lubricant is readily available. This makes installation and removal smooth and easy. Just rub your finger across the lubricant in its container, then smooth your finger around the threads of the bulb (I make sure to cover all of the threads that will come in contact with the socket shell with the lubricant). And that's all there is to it. One container of this product will probably last the average person a lifetime; it only takes a very small amount per bulb. I've used it on about 70 bulbs so far (transitioning to LED bulbs), and I can hardly tell I've used any at all.

I have to have this on hand.
I found out about this item years ago and won't change a light bulb without it now. All bulbs unscrew easily when removed for replacement, cleaning, etc and I never experience the bulb and socket being welded together as has happened in the past with cheap bulbs or fixtures. The order came just as promised and I am pleased with this product and vendor. I'll buy more when necessary but it lasts a long time. If you haven't used it yet, you won't be disappointed.

OK
Did not quite provide the level of lubrication I anticipated. I had a couple of bulbs that were rough (I had removed to clean globes), and this really did not do much for those.
