DarcChic Mens Velvet Goth Steampunk Victorian Frock Coat

I really like this jacket, I got it and a matching vest for Halloween this year. It came after a couple weeks. The brocade fabric looks expensive and the velvet cuffs and collar are a nice compliment. There were some loose threads that I had to cut off but nothing that affected the stitching. I would say that this is a medium to light weight jacket, with a thin lining. The buttons are just for show on the outer part of the jacket, but that is fine for me as I wear it open. Based on the reviews I ordered a size larger. I normally wear a small to extra small and the medium fits perfectly.

My teen wanted to dress up for his uncle's wedding and wear this to Hamilton when it comes to town. It is well tailored and looks beautiful on him. We measured his chest at 34" and got him the small (it says 40"). He is broad shouldered, but the coat fits him perfectly. We agree with many other reviews . . it definitely runs small!

This is an amazing jacket! The quality and workmanship is excellent. I ordered the off-white one, and I'm very impressed with this coat.I do have some helpful feedback for anyone else interested in these. First, it shipped from the US not China, so it actually came within a few days. Very quick delivery. Second, as a couple people mentioned, the colour of the off-white coat is actually more of an antique white. It has a warm toffee look to it, not really white. The fabric is gorgeous though. Last and most important - based on many peoples suggestion I ordered two sizes larger. It's a bit too big. I normally take a large. I'd have been fine with an XL. Going with XXL means I need to tailor it in. I have a 41 inch chest and a 38 in waist, and the jacket front can overlap by at least 2 inches! This is a great coat! Just pay attention to sizing. An XXL would probably fit a 44-46 inch chest. I might order one of the other colours in a smaller size eventually. It's a great look for the good price.

What an amazing jacket!! Got rave reviews at costume party, and worked out well. I decided to go with a 2XL cause I am usually an XL, and was still a little snug but worth it! Well made and was exactly what I was looking for!!

This Frock coat is made very nice. The only thing that I was unaware of is that it does not button up. I would not have purchased this had I read the description better. But, it does say that in the description on amazon. The chest and shoulders run a little small. I bought this coat for a costume wedding. It will work for one night but then I plan to add openings for buttons. The look and fabric is fantastic!

This is an excellent quality coat but the sizing is way off. I wear a large and ordered a XL, returned it due to fit, bought and XXL and it barely fits. Still, amazing quality just be aware of the sizes.

This jacket is tailored for those who don't have muscular chests and arms. If you do order a size larger. The coat doesn't button. He wears a medium usually but ordered in a large. Thankful I did.

I wear this to goth nights, and when I put it on a friend of mine calls me the "Lord of the Manner" in a playful way. But the coat really does look stylish! I bought it in June, and now that October is here I'll be wearing this a bit more. It's nice and toasty, although the front does not button up. I'm really happy with this purchase.
