Product works as advertised with no side effects. I take it at night before bed and have not had acid reflux waking me up as a result.

I had severe gastritis for five months. Omeprazole worked while I was on it, but the gastritis came back as soon as I stopped the medication. Decided to try this and the change is amazing. It took about a month, but I now can enjoy (limited) amounts of tomato-based foods, coffee and other acidic foods with no pain.

I wrote email to Pure Encapsulations company (purecaps.com) and their response was "We do not answer questions on amazon.com and we do not have an approved amazon.com seller". I wonder who this imposter company is then !!!! Amazon needs to check this. I had GERD & severe gas problem that popped up suddenly, which made it hard to even get sleep. Studied various nutrition/diet/herbal approaches from many websites. First tried NOW "Super Enzymes" because i came to know that Betaine HCL was contained in it. After 4 days of that, i did not get complete relief, so i added this product. This has to be taken 20 mins prior to meal, preferably mixed with saliva (which means you will have to take the powder out of capsule). Within 2 days, my problems disappeared. But according to the literature i see on net, DGL has to be taken for a few weeks, to be therapeutic. The dosage suggested is about 380mg, with meals, for a treatment of about 2 months (which is my plan, before i taper off). ......You see, i started getting diarrhea after a week, if i took it for 3x/day. Aloe Vera, has that laxative effect, even though this product says it is from inner fillet of Aloe. Also note that the digestive tract will be coated with these ingredients and hence the absorbtion of nutrients will be lower than optimal, when you eat food after this. Consequently, one would lose weight (DGL does that too). I would suggest to reformulate product to have less Aloe, more DGL and split the capsules into half doses, so that consumer can control the amount that they can take per meal. But then, this company is not reading amazon comments or questions !! If you are taking other herbs, do your research and check for cross-effects. Here is some additional information: Pure Encapsulations company tests for glycrrhizinic acid and their acceptable levels are below 3%. Notice that no DGL product can have 0% glycrrhizine. According to Natural Medicine Journal (http://naturalmedicinejournal.com/journal/2012-09/aloe-vera-gel-research-review), therapeutic dosage of aloe in humans is maximum 100mg/day. In fact, i have not seen many research studies on the "INTERNAL" consumption of aloe in humans. So, if i take this product 3x/day, i will be exceeding the dosage given in the citations at above link. Perhaps this explains the diarrhea that i get, if i take this for more than a week (3x/d, mixed with my saliva). On the positive side, this is the only product on amazon that does not have sugar or sugar related ingredients (fructose etc.) in the ingredient label. So, i give it a 5 star overall.

It works! I’d recommend staying close to home the first couple of days, when trying this product cuz it does delivery right away! Lol But seriously stay home!

This product truly helped me, very similar to the other reviews here, I was having gut issues and acid reflux issues. I kept taking tums and even omeprazole but the issue kept coming back after a week. I forget how I encountered this but I started looking into I think GERD and possible problems with just my stomach lining. I saw the reviews on this item and thought, maybe I would give it a shot, fix the actual problem not the symptoms. About 1 week in, my problems were gone! I feel like a much different person (in a good way). I feel stronger, I think the acid reflux or whatever I had was not absorbing much of the nutrients that I was intaking due to my stomach issues but now I feel so much better. I highly recommend this item; for me I took this once a day, I saw a review I think they said someone taking it twice a day possibly gave them some issues, so I didn't want to push that. But once a day for me really helped!

I have tried a lot of things for my stomach and this is by far the one thing that clearly made a difference fast. I have been taking this for a while now but when I first started taking it, it only took a week to see changes. I was dealing with acid reflux, stomach aches at night, belching, etc. This helped so quickly and actually noticeable.

I tried a product advertised on YouTube and it kind of helped, but was quite expensive. I identified one of the ingredients that I believed was effective and set out to find another source. I have had more success with this product at a much lower cost and plan to continue using it on a daily basis. If you have difficulty with "regularity", do yourself a favor and try this product.

I ordered this product in hopes that it would help with reflux that I had been having for quite some time. I only had the opportunity to take it for 3 days. I am about 25 years postmenopausal and all of a sudden started bleeding. I looked up the ingredients in this product and two of the four ingredients say that they can cause blood thinning which can ultimately lead to vaginal bleeding/spotting. I already take a baby aspirin as well daily. Just mentioning this so that people are aware That the marshmallow root and aloe vera are blood thinning agents. I never really got to feel if the product was working however, I felt like my stomach was starting to feel a bit more settled.
