HSS M2 Metal Jobber Twist Drill Bits, Pack of 10 (1/4", 6.5mm)

I bought these back in 2020 and have used them for many projects, all in metal. I've been extremely hard on them, drilled at fast speeds and no oil usually. I figured at this cost they would dull out and I'd trash them and buy a pack when I need them. Nope, these things just keep on going. I just used them today to drill through 6 1½" round bar of 4140 hardened steel. They did a great job. Sometimes you have to switch back and forth between different bits to get a different bite on the metal but when they bite they bite hard. I used these to drill 100 holes in a thick heavy equipment trailer frame, still using them. I'm back for more and will buy every size as needed. These way outlasted my Milwaukee bits.

These are good basic drill bits, can go through sheet metal (18ga) and other non ferrous metals. Dulls fast even with lubrication on any thicker metal

Drilled 4 holes in cast iron (went through cast iron like it was wood) and 8 holes in steel with one bit and it was still sharp. No movement at all when starting a hole.

The best bang for your buck. These little bits are amazing, I use them to drill pilot holes in 1/4 mild steel with a cordless drill and they just keep working. I get easily 30 holes before they start slowing down and I'm not using lubricant. As long as you keep the drill straight and go slowly letting the bit do the cutting you'll be impressed.

Purchased to drill about 450 holes in 0.25 steel. Takes moderate pressure to drill, does not seem to walk, and lasts for 100 to 200 hundred holes per drill before dull. Would recommend.

These drill bits a crap for a keyless chuck. First of all the shanks are smooth. There are no flats for the drill chuck to but on to. So unless you have a drill press or the old time chick with a tightening key, these will slip.Secondly they aren’t very sharp. They cut great for the first minute and as soon as you break the surface and start a hole it slowed down from there. I was drilling 3/8 steel and it took 10-15 minutes to drill thru it. Don’t waste your money on these. Technically they work but not very well so I can’t return them.

Husband loved these. Got them as a Christmas gift and he said they work extremely well on wood. He will get tons of use out of these, as he works in construction and constantly goes through drill bits

Better quality than what you would get at the big box stores.
