Classic Car Adventures Old Car Tales from Enthusiasts

Bought for an elderly car enthusiast who owned, showed and built classic cars throughout their life. He has thoroughly enjoyed reading this, it has brought back many memories of his own adventures. Its a great book, and a joy to read.

This is a "dipping" book - there's no need to read it cover to cover. Rather, just dip in an read a chapter - one person's story about their car. It brings back one's own memories of early, less than reliable, cars! It's a charming book written with care by an expert in all things car-like!

I like this book because it has some amusing, some exciting, and some interestingly varied tales within its covers. If the compiler, Richard McCann, brings out a second volume I will buy a copy. A couple of the stories were excellent, one even moved me to sentimental tears, but the lengthy article about dashboard design seemed like a waste of pages in this context. This book is a timely addition to 'A Motoring Miscellany' and 'The Motorist's Bedside Book' genre of the 1960s and I hope there will be follow volumes published every year in time for Christmas sales.

A good lightweight read for dipping in and out of with every chapter being a completely different tale. Some grammatical errors that surprised me and the book has been printed on a budget . Not the high quality I was expecting - but a good holiday read if your into classic cars and their related tales .
