Sawdust
I usually do not take the time to review products, but I usually read reviews before I purchase them. I saw the negative comments on this jerky before I bought it, but figured these people were just crazy. I mean, how bad can beef jerky be. It's just beef jerky. Whoever said this jerky tasted like sawdust was 100% spot on. I eat tons of beef jerky, and this is by far the worst. I have the BBQ flavor, and there isn't a hint of BBQ anywhere. Sure the meat is tender, but it is sawdust. Please do not make the mistake and buy this product. You will definitely regret it. And to whoever described it as sawdust, you were 100% spot on. I can't believe how accurate that description was. I can not think of a better word to describe this jerky. DO NOT BUY

It's OK enough, but not something I'd buy again
I'm a huge fan of jerky and if not for the high sodium content in it (among other things), I'd probably eat this every day. I wasn't expecting a miracle from this jerky, just something good enough that could help tide me over as far as jerky went. Here's the thing, though: it's just not that good of a jerky. It's a very soft jerky and the meat felt like it'd been processed a little too much before it'd been dried because it had that mushy texture to it. This in itself isn't enough to put me off entirely, though. It's not an unforgivable obstacle. What got me was the taste. There's definitely a pepper taste here, but it's pretty bland overall and it's not really all that satisfying of a jerky experience. I remember eagerly ripping into that first bag and kind of giving a "eh, it's not great but it's not awful either" shrug. I gave some to my mother to try, who ended up saying the same thing. If you're looking for a low sodium jerky, this is probably one of the lowest sodium pre-packaged jerky products out there, but it's just not all that great. I'll finish what I bought, but this just wasn't something I'd consider buying again. I've discovered that Jack Links has a low sodium beef jerky, which is actually not that bad. I'd absolutely recommend that over this.

odd texture but I like them
These definitely have a texture different than other jerkies. They really fall apart in the mouth, unlike other jerkies where you might chew forever and still have bits that you just have to spit out. You can easily tear these apart by hand, whereas other jerkies usually need a knife to cut. It took a bit of getting used to because it was so different - at first I didn't like them but now they're fine. And I like the really low salt, low sugar flavor.

I'm a fan
The texture isn't your average jerky, but I enjoy this as a nice high-protein, low-calorie snack. I didn't pay much attention to the ingredients, unfortunately.

I love this stuff!
I'm always looking for no-sugar and low-fat foods. Well, this one fits the bill and I really like it. I cannot understand the bad reviews here because, not only do I LIKE it A LOT, I like it much better than other jerky and good jerky is kind of a weakness of mine. However, because each ounce of jerky elsewhere has approximately 5g or so of sugar, I have pretty much stopped buying it.The ingredient list on this page lists brown sugar as an ingredient. I am sure that means the non-no carb jerky. This particular jerky has no sugar at all, so no carbs. It is also 97% fat free and 50 calories per ounce.Other jerky-- even GOOD jerky-- usually has really tough pieces you have to throw away. I've had four of these packages so far, and there were no tough pieces in the bunch. Every single piece is completely tender.WHile I don't think it tastes like sawdust as another reviewer stated, I can see why she'd say this. It is not really dryer than other jerky, but it is crumbier. However, it's so tender and moist, I really can't see the comparison to sawdust at all.The flavor isn't as sweet as other teriyaki jerkies, but there is no sugar in this, and that's my main concern. Even if I didn't care about the sugar component, I would still buy this again and hope this company continues to make it and sell it on Amazon.

Low-carb? Yes. But so is roadkill.
Upon eating this, I thought the package had spoiled. Reading the reviews AFTER I had purchased the item (D'oh!), I realized that this was a common phenomenon. Maybe it was just me, though. Who knows? So I offered the remaining packages to my sister. Her response: "This must be what poop tastes like."Pros: Nice looking packaging, small chunks of "jerky."Cons: Bad (bitter, not salty) flavor, horrible texture (soggy, moist; it's like biting into a band-aid).To all the reviewers praising the low sugar content and lack of carbs: this holds true with virtually all beef jerky. Wild Ride? Hardly. I'd rather chew on my shoe.

disappointed
It didn't have a good flavor and was in such small pieces a lot was wasted.

Good taste, small pieces
While this jerky has good flavor, the size of the pieces are rather small. Since I bought them for my two year old to snack on, the bite sized pieces pose a slight choking hazzard in my mind, so the unused bags will sit in my cupboard till I can pass them on to some adult that likes jerky. It's too bad because he really likes to gnaw on the stuff, and this additive free jerky would have been a nice snack for him.
