Love this basket for my needs, however, I would NOT use it for pets.
I decided to try this bike basket because it was just a HUGE mystery. The company only has the one stock photo of just the basket...no mounting hardware, no photos of the mounted basket, etc. They also didn't respond to multiple emails requesting information on the basket. So...I decided to roll the dice and give it a try. I wanted a basket that was orange and wire. All of the wicker baskets that I've researched have fallen apart. A huge amount of removable wire baskets had mounting issues while the bike was in use. I am going to attempt to post photos as well. So...QUALITY...It's painted orange…doesn't appear to be a rubbery waterproof coating so only time will tell how it handles in the rain and near the sea. It's light. No noticeable soldering, etc so I cannot tell you how the basket weave will hold up with continued weight. The weave is quite wide so I bought a basket liner to keep smaller items, such as keys, from falling out.MOUNTING...I believe it will be secure. There are the standard two padded, “slip-proof” u-shaped hangers to hang it centered on your handlebars and a velcro piece to attach it to the frame. You slip the basket onto two little tines at the bottom, closer to the velcro’d frame piece, and then slide the two metal protruding pieces of the basket handles into two slots and then rest the handles down to lock in place. I would assume that if I hit a bouncy grassy patch and the basket handles would simultaneously rise, the basket could detach. Just as a precaution, I secured the handles to the basket with Velcro zip-ties. Easy fix, easy removal. I feel that it is very secure.WEIGHT LIMIT...I have absolutely no clue. I will try to include a photo of the product tag, which had zero info. I would feel comfortable putting a lighter elementary school backpack into the basket, as it is a decent size, however, I am not sure about a live animal. I have two standard poodles, so I am not in the position to try it out. ;) I JUST rode my bike around the neighborhood with 11 pounds of Harry Potter hardcovers and the basket DID wiggle around a lot while turning around corners and swerving around my kids. It did fare well when I rode over the curb. So…it DID handle 11# on one trip with A LOT of wiggly movement…not sure how I'd feel with a pet in there. It is also quite deep…not sure if a small dog would want to be in such a deep basket.EASE OF REMOVING FROM BIKE...Very easy to remove the basket to take it into a shop. Just lift up on the basket handles to release it from the mounting bracket and pull up and out of the lower attachment. Very easy.COMFORT OF USING AS A BASKET IN THE MARKET…No idea. The basket handles are not padded. If you were to pad then with tape, etc. that would hinder the mounting functionality. So, I wouldn't put a ton of weight in it, as the weight with cut into your arm/hand. It would also possibly be an issue with the functionary if your bike. Higher weights would be more of a rear basket or backpack thing.WHILE BIKE IS IN MOTION...Seems fine. Like I mentioned above, I zip-tied the handles in place for added security and there was a fair amount of wiggling with 11# of weight. I do not plan on carrying 11# on a routine basis.I have now been using this basket for about two months. It works fine for my needs. It is easily removable so if theft is a concern, it's easy for someone to steal…it's also easy for you to remove before you leave the bike. At this price point, it isn't a concern for me, as it isn't a pricy woven fiber basket. I am glad that I bought it. Looks super cute on my bike and will easily hold the light amount of items that I intend to stow - phone, bike lock, water bottles for the family, keys, and occasional small grocery bag.I will have no issue updating this review as time progresses, should the need arise. :)

Super cute but doesn’t fit all bikes.
This basket is very cute but make sure it fits your bike before ordering. Unfortunately, I cannot Return or exchange so I’m stuck with a cute basket that doesn’t fit my bike.

Super cute, but be aware....
I love this little basket. It was simple to install, and the basket is easy to take on and off. HOWEVER the handles which lock the basket in place on the holder work themselves loose as I ride and the basket flies off. A simple fix really, I just installed a clip to keep the handles down. But it would have been disastrous if my Chi had been with me!

Great basket
Love the basket I did have to modify the brackets to fit my bike but that’s more to do with my bike, I’m sure it would work on most bikes. Really like how easy it is to remove it from the bike, just lift up the handles.
