Returning product for new one try again?
It worked for about 4 weeks which is about the amount of time the battery lasts. You then have to use a microscopic allen wrench to remove the unit and recharge it for 6 or more hours. Found out that after recharging it would not pair itself to any device. I would go through the pairing numerous times, and never get a pairing. I am returning product for a replacement to see if this one was just a bad unit.

Going online takes too long and sometimes is not available for hours.
I have a Swann DVR camera system that works well. So I though this system would work equally as wellThe goodThis was easy to setup with my Wi-Fi and wiring it to power for old doorbell per the instructions works fine. The badI cannot get connected to the doorbell fast enough to see who rung the doorbell unless they stand there for 3 minutes. Sometimes I have to try multiple times to get a live view. my security cameras see the delivery person on 3 different cameras but my doorbell never saw the delivery person at all. Setting is high on detection. The only thing it seems to detect is when a garbage truck goes buy picking up the all of our garbage. Or occasionally when we open the front door and go outside. I loose connection to it even though a smart outlet and my camera system is still online. I kept hoping they would update the firmware to help but so far it is basically is worthless as a security device. If it hasn’t gone offline it will at least let me know the doorbell was activity’s. My Wi-Fi routers are within 10 and 15 feet. I have 2 Wi-Fi routers and both have the same issue. I would not recommend this device for enyrhing but a wirelesss doorbell that may or may not notify you in a timely manner.

Doorbell fail
The media could not be loaded. It is shown by “rob” in their product video you can connect it to your preexisting wired door bell. But it makes the doorbell buzz. After checking instructions and flipping the wires at the mounting bracket i had the same issue. So i called Swann tech support, a few times. “Rocky” had no phone etiquette and no product knowledge. Told me that i had a “custom” install. His supervisor “lei” told me that the screw connection was for power not a mechanical doorbell. So returned and moved on. Picture and video attached

Buyer Beware Seriously !
Absolutely a piece of trash more aggrevation than worth . Very delayed , hard wiring requires extra parts that are not readily available , customer support could be better educated on the product . Records when the device feels compelled . Alerts show days later which make for confusion when clicking on notification due to the app alert not being concurrent with the current day . I feel as if I wasted my time and money trying to get the device operating correctly . Seemed to me that I was more of thier tech support test dummy rather than a customer who has purchased multiple products from swann in the past .

Didn't even last 6 months
The good:Set up was easyPicture quality was OKThe bad:Less than 6 months later it no longer worksIt requires a separate app to see on your phoneIt was on the more expensive end of similar doorbells/cameras

Utter rubbish
So I was curious to try this. I have a Wisenet doorbell that was in place for a while, but it constantly drops off of the wireless and I didn't want to pay a cloud fee, so it was basically worthless. This thing is huge - more than twice the size of the Wisenet D1 I was going to replace. And for some reason they thought that it was a smart idea to put FOUR screw holes in it at the corners, rather than two down the centerline. So I can't even mount it to my door frame, it's so wide, unless I only mount two on the one side.I figured I could do that. So I get it charging (although my plan was to wire it, as this does NOT come with a chime so it's useless other than with your phone if you don't hardwire it to a real doorbell inside). And while charging, I figured I would install the IOS app on my iPhone X and get things paired, look at the video quality, prior to wiring it in place and mounting it.And this is where I finally gave up. Seriously, hours and still not a confirmation email. I can't even SET UP THE APP since their system is apparently not very functional. Tried their chat - useless also, an autobot, not a live person. Never did get a live person. The mail didn't go to the spam filter, it simply never got sent, no matter how many times I tried "resend email notification" they never sent out anything. If something this simple can't be done within this many hours, it's just not worth even bothering with. So this will go to the landfill and I'll try to find another replacement for my WIsenet doorbell...Edit - another hour or so later, I finally got an email confirmation. So I thought I'd keep going. For something that should've been able to be set up in minutes, this was hours and hours of time elapsing...But since I eventually got the confirmation, and set it up, so I figured at least they may get 3 stars out of me then if everything else works out the way it should.Initial setup on my wireless was standard fare, nothing special, and it worked the first attempt. After that, I couldn't get a live picture even on the same network as it. It shows the camera online, shows "Connecting" and then never does.So I started looking at settings, and saw there was a firmware update, so I ran that. It took an insane amount of time. Then failed. Tried again. Failed. Failed over, and over, and over. I could reboot it, but the firmware update never worked.I don't know if that's why my iPhone X was never able to get video, if there's something that the new firmware addressed. Since I can't update the firmware, and can't get a live video view, there's no point in trying to bother anymore. It will still go to the landfill and still get a 1 star rating. I'd give negative stars if I could after all the annoyance and effort that I wasted on this garbage.

Very disappointing
I chose the Swann Video doorbell as, unlike rival brands, there is nothing more to pay to view event history. It has been a complete failure. The instructions say it needs a 10 ohm 10 watt resistor if it is to be connected to an existing transformer system – but it has to be bought elsewhere. I also bought 2 x Swann chimes – luckily as when I did connect it in place of my existing bell push it did not work the existing chimes. It was reluctant to join my home network so I provided a dedicated Wireless access point only 2m away from it. However after a short time it dropped off the network (the phone app says offline and it was not listed on an IP scan). The only way to get it back on the network is to unlock it from its wall plate and press the red reset button inside. After 3 days of regularly resetting it I gave up. I wanted to monitor our front door when away from home for 3-6 weeks at a time and clearly it can’t be fixed when you are in a different country and it is not something you can ask a neighbour to do.....daily.....We never really got a chance to use it as intended – to chat to a caller while away from home and perhaps ask the caller to leave a parcel next door.I trusted the Swann brand as have used their CCTV systems and cameras for years but this item will be returned.

What a load of rubbish!!
Very disappointed with this doorbell, you can only hear it ring outside not inside, and it only gives a tiny ping on your phone so very easily missed. Also the silly little alun key we were given with it we've found impossible to use so resorted to sticking it on the door with black tape. It's such a nuisance to remove to charge the battery every couple of weeks and takes so long to charge it leaves you without a door bell for a couple of days. All in all the whole thing is totally useless I just hope someone nicks it soon.

Dont bother
Goes offline regularly, doesnt take a photo until the person has gone past the camera then they are out of shot. Battery only lasts a week too. Wouldn't bother, buy a ring doorbell instead.

POOR POR POOR!
Never got to use it as the bracket was truly so rubbish that even the wind blew the unit off the wall making it very nickable and obviously not fit for purpose!
