My cat has tried a lot of wet cat food so I can say that I do have some knowledge of cat food ingredients. I had bought the chicken flavor. A couple of reviewers have mentioned that it is just pure chicken and doesn't contain any nutrition. Don't go by the looks and read the product information and ingredients correctly. It says this product has Vitamins, Amino Acids, Omega 3 fatty acids (which are lacking or not in sufficient quantities in other cat foods) and protein is the first ingredient in the list. So this is definitely better than most other wet cat food that has grains and other fillers in large quantities.I believe the pricing is also based on this and good products won't come cheap. Even though it contains starch for the gravy, this is still a better choice. SUGGESTION: As mentioned, you can only serve this 1/2 can if your cat is between 1-5 kgs, so I serve this along with Royal Canin Dry Food (don't go by the picture because I just felt like decorating it for my cat's birthday). PROS: - Nutrition information is better than most cheap brands (contains omega 3 fatty acids which is very essential for your pet's heart). - My cat liked the shredded chicken flavor. - Comes in a gravy form to which you can add more water if your pet is a picky water drinker. - Comes in a can which is great for storage in the freezer once opened. CONS: - Expensive (but with pure protein and comparatively less fillers, this is justified). - Scooping all food out of the can is a little difficult. Do not use your fingers to scoop out as the can's edges are sharp and can cut your finger. - Quantity could have been a little more. - Not nutritionally complete because you can only serve 1/2 can of this per day. Rest of the day you have to provide the regular food. Overall, I believe this is a better choice than other cheaper brands and they're cheap for a reason so don't hold back on the price factor.
