BC Classics Sun Tea Beverage Jar Dispenser with Spout and Tumblers

I ordered 2 of these and received a green and an orange dispensers. The green one was missing part of its spigot so I returned it. The capacity on these is 3.8 liter, not 3.8 gallon like the description on Amazon. (3.8L is one gallon) I filled the orange one with water to check for leak. There was a slow leak at the spigot so I gently hand-tightened the plastic nut on the inside which fixed the leak. It was used to serve Crystal Light peach ice tea today at a BBQ and it looked nice, was easy to transport, and no leak! I'd like to get another one, if only it's BPA free. (Doesn't state so anywhere on the tag.)

This is as good as any other plastic sun tea jar out there! I think these must all be made at one place! I read on some reviews that someone posted that they poured boiling water into it and the jug melted. Just for clarification sun tea is made by putting several teabags around the top with the tags hanging over the edge (the number of bags is your choice depending on how strong you like your tea) fill the jug with cold water and set outside on the porch and let the sun heat it up making the tea! I would not suggest anyone pouring boiling water into this plastic jug as it was not made for that! When I bring in the tea, I remove the tea bags, add sugar and place sweet tea in the fridge. The kids love the ease of just grabbing one of the included cups and filling from the spout! It is quick and easy for them!

I just ordered this about an hour ago. Why does this show 3 different colors in the picture, but when I place it in my cart, it doesn't ask what color I want?Ordered this for my daughters birthday party in a week for some lemonade. I hope it turns out to be what I want.

Because this was plastic, I brewed some extra strength tea and let it cool before putting it into the container after which I added water and ice to fill. I screwed the top on securely (I checked it to be sure I had threaded it properly) and lifted the jug by the handle on the top of the lid. The lid fell off, dumping 2 gallons of tea all over my kitchen floor. Which was better than it dumping all over my white wall-to-wall carpeting where I was headed. I used to have a glass jar of the same size, but the spigot broke. Best suggestion: Get a large pitcher.

The picture shows the kind of spout I wanted - a push button on top of a fixed support that pushes through a little plug. Dispenses quickly and neatly. The actual dispenser that came had a toggle valve that is slow and sloppy. The display picture does not match the actual item that you will receive. I returned this because I've already purchased one like it and I hate it.

I wanted to use this to make fresh brewed iced tea. I watched it melt and collapse onto itself as I poured hot water into it, it wasn't even boiling, it looked kind of cool but it really was a waste of money for me. At least it wasn't very expensive. Still annoyed though. It did look nice and the cups didn't melt.
