Does the job
Bought two of these for my 2011 F150 crewcab, which has the split rear seat backs. One for each side. I had previously fabricated seat releases using the key ring and paracord method, was never real happy with that arrangement. My truck is the Lariat model, which has slightly thicker rear seat back padding. I had to modify each latch by bending the thin metal at two points so they would clear the seat back padding and work correctly. Very easy to do with a pair of linesmans pliers. If you have the XLT model, you may not have to do that. I put a small dab of light grease on the part where it catches the round bar on the cab back. Works great now, a small pull and the seat back unlocks.HINT: when you are done, make sure your seat bottom is in the upright position before latching the seat back for the first time. It may not catch correctly if you don't. You only have to do this the first time.

Works as advertised
I used a Youtube video for installation instructions. It was quick and easy and required only a couple tools.I added some aluminum tape to the black woven strap in order to increase its rigidity. I don't know if it's needed, but I thought it may help keep the loop sticking straight up for easy access as the years pass. The unit works and is a great gadget which gives you easy access to some otherwise unavailable space in your truck.The price is a great value, increasing the utility of the vehicle.I can't imagine why someone wouldn't put this in their truck (or why they all don't come with it).

Works barely
It fits but not well. there is a locator lug on the latch assy that into a hole on the seat back. this accessory does not provide for that. You have to either drill a hole to accommodate it or flatten the lug. Also the edge of this does not mesh well with the edge of a cut out in the seat back. It wouldn't be my first choice if I had known of the problems.

It works for what it is
This product is a quick release for the back seat. Works as advertised. Install was easy. However, getting the seat back in place was not. The bar it attaches to floats as the seat back goes up and down vertically when the bottom portion is lifted. You will have to do some trial and error to get it back. It wasn’t hard and didn’t take long, just unanticipated.The other part that was disappointing was that there was no storage room behind the seat. I have a factory sub and that takes up most of the extra storage I was looking to access. It is still a good add on.

Works great, we’ll worth the price.
Once I figured out how to release the wide rear seat backrest in my 2016 Ford F-150 Crew Cab I knew I had to figure out a way to make a strap to release the latch. In my search, I came across this item. Found other similar products that do the same thing, but chose this item. It was simple to install and works great. Came with no instructions but fairly easy to figure out, plus there are all kinds of videos on YouTube that show how to install it. My only suggestion would be to have a sturdier/stiffer pull strap.

Best mini upgrade Ive done
My truck got broken into and having this to access secret storage saved me a few hundred bucks in gear being stolen. I'm going to market the heck out of these to my local truck group.

Easy access to additional storage behind rear bench!
Smart buy for my 2018. Should be a standard feature. Easy install and gives me quick access to the back space of my driver side rear seat. Worth the investment! Wish I had got this for my 2011.

Good quality
This is a great little add on to make it easy to access unused space behind the back seat as storage.Unfortunately Ford has changed the bracket on the seat latch and this didn’t fit my 2019 F-150 super crew.Product quality was good, but I had to return it due to the change made to the latch.Hawg

Don’t buy for Lariat trim or up that have the B&O sound system
Awesome quality only thing that sucked his I have no use for it since I have the lariat trim with the sound system and I really can’t store anything behind the seats unfortunately

Awesome however no instructions.
Easy to put in however you need to watch a YouTube video cause you get no instructions lol. But the quality is top notch and delivery was fast!

Finishing is a bit rough on the machined part but all you need is the webbing once it is installed. Went in easy and quick. Nice to have some storage in a normally unused area. Great place to hide a hunting rifle when in transport.

Worth it
This will fit a 2019 F-150, but you will either have to drill out a hole on the black plate for the factory tang to lock back into the seat or flaten the tang for it to set flush. Minimal work needed to fit. Worth the cheaper price and works just fine for quickly folding down the seat.
