But as is apparent time and again it is precisely his personal singing style and delivery, often minutely tailored to the content that gives his work its immense power. Melodically, Joel is a master. With his Semitic roots harmonically peeking through from time to time, he has given us timeless songs.So why is my rating four stars not five? - Simply because this release is incomplete. One of his most compelling songs, ‘Honesty’ inexplicably isn’t included. I didn’t know this at the time of purchase assuming it must be there. I’m left not a little disappointed as for me one of his most memorable songs is sorely missed. Still, a worthy compilation nevertheless.

All of the expected tracks plus some less familiar ones. Good package with informative booklet. Love this collection so much that it lives in my car, ready for any journeys that need a bit of a lift or a singalong 🤣🤣🤣

I looked at all the various cds for Billy Joel and decided on this one. I was right! It contains 4 cds and they compile all of his songs. The 4th cd is a live audience question and answer to Billy who responds in great detail his answers and plays the songs asked about along with some ablived cool breaks and history that I didn’t know. I recommend this for anyone who likes Billy and even those who may be on the fence, he is a great musician and entertainer. Charley 71 years young! I also saw Jimi Hendrix live when I was 16 in concert with Steppenwolf opening.
