Superb set!
If, like us, you love Chet Baker and his music, this is a great set.Collecting together numerous Italian movie soundtracks that Baker was involved with, the 3-disc set is a treasure trove of atmospheric jazziness, with Baker prominent throughout. The package is beautifully put together, rather like both Chet and his playing. I recall seeing a large prominent display featuring this and other similar releases on the same label in the window of Heffers Bookshop, in Cambridge, and lusting after it. It was a bit pricey at that time. I got it here more recently on Amazon for under a tenner. Money well spent!Discs one and three are our favourites. Things get a bit weird and spooky on disc two, and there's not as much Chet, either. Overall though, a great set. Occasionally there's some dialogue, in Italian, naturally, which is kind of cool. Given the film soundtrack nature of the set, whilst there's plenty of straight ahead jazz, there's also other stuff, some weird, some schmaltzy, but overall mostly very engaging. This is a great set for confirmed Chetniks, but probably not the place to start out if you're new to Chetty-picking.

Weird and wonderful
Thoroughly enjoyable mix of tunes, many featuring some of Chet's best playing. This being a collection of film soundtracks the tunes are fairly eclectic and somewhat weird in places, but overall it's well worth having for any Chet Baker fan. Highly recommended.

Great Music
This series has a been a total winner. This is the 4th one I have bought and look forward to more.. The only downside is that the supply of vintage jazz film soundtrack music is clearly finite and we surely cannot be tempted by these excellent compilations indefinitely. Enjoying the ride though!

Good, but......
Another great set of discs, the sound quality is excellent and it's a good selection of film soundtracks together. However, I know it is five films over three discs and whilst the packaging is of good quality, a set of this nature really deserves some kind of book/booklet in the same style as the previous boxed sets.

Chet Baker
As a lifelong fan of this marvellous trumpet player who never lost his way musically like Miles Davis did. Recommended.
