Great little book kids love it

I teach a fractured fairy tales unit, and for that I need the original for comparison. This is a lovely retelling of the classic with clear, entertaining illustrations. The library binding is comfortable to hold. It looks like an elementary picture book, so my ESL third graders find it appealing instead of brushing it off as a "baby" book.

I love the feel of the book, the illustrations, and the succinct storyline that captures early reader's attention and especially those with short attention spans.

This is a classic book with amazing illustrations. My students loved it!

Cute story for kids. My four year old knew the basics of the story but he wanted to skip through the book to the pictures. Lol

Easy for reading. Pictures are bright and drawn well.

I was looking for a version of this story that was close to the original tale. This did the job. I’m not a huge fan of the squishy padded cover, but that is just a personal preference.

I work with children with disabilities and it is difficult for some to follow what is going on in the story if the images are not clear or have distractions. The illustrations in this book are wonderful. With no distracting colors/items that make students focus on the story and essential images to support the text. Love it and definitely would recommend to all readers.
