Galatians: Gospel matters (Good Book Guides)

This book was used with a group of young women. It was nice to have a 7 week study.The questions took you into the Bible text and then offered questions for application.It got at the heart of the conflict between Law/works and any-thing-goes/freedom and pointed us tothe Gospel. This book helped make clear God the Father's Plan, the execution of that plan through Jesus Christ the Son on the cross and over coming death, and the work of the Holy Spirit to apply God's nature in our lives as Fruit of the Spirit.The accompanying book GALATIANS FOR YOU was also helpful.

Great short booklet for an individual or group wanting to study Galatians. The chapters are short enough that everyone in the group can get through it and long enough that you are in the meat of the text. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

As a group, we're finding this study to be very thorough. The format works well. The questions are thoughtful. I also bought Pastor Keller's corresponding book, Galations For You, which has been not only helpful in the group study, but also very insightful.

A handy little booklet for getting believers into Scripture together. We are currently using it for our discipleship groups in our local church. The best part about this resource is that it really gets the participants into the Bible itself and helps newer believers learn how to ask questions of the text. It may seem very basic for some or oversimplified, but our desire is to use resources that are accessible to newer believers and to folks who may struggle with reading longer books. One option would be to encourage members who are hungry for more to get Keller's commentary "Galatians For You" and then lead them to use this booklet to teach and equip those who still aren't ready for something at the commentary level. One of the other great things about this booklet is the focus on the practical application of biblical truth, something that far too often gets tagged on to the very end in Bible study books. The only thing that keeps me from giving this product five stars is that some of the questions are worded strangely and have proved confusing for some of the newer believers with whom I am using the guide.

A great study that takes you into the false doctrines that the Galatians were experiencing in the early church. Tim Keller drives the participant into the scripture and wraps up a session with well though out questions.

POWERFUL BOOK WITH MANY GREAT TRUTHS EXPLAINED. DR KELLER BRINGS THE LIVES OF THE GALATIANS TO LIFE AND THE STRUGGLE THEY HAD WITH THE OLD COVENANT AND ACCEPTING THE NEW COVENANT AND LIVING IN GRACE AND LOVE AND LIBERTY.

I like all Timothy Keller's books and would recommend them to all those who want to grow in their faith and knowledge through God's Word. Read them with the Bible beside you and you will get the most from them.

Good study but the group discussion questions were kinda "gimmes" that didn't provoke deep discussion.
