For some reason, the Golf came with white LEDs everywhere except for the boot area, which had a 10w incandescent festoon.This is a direct fit into the ceiling aperture, and is very bright. It matches the OEM lighting nicely.NB. I bought one of these types of units elsewhere, and it took me months to trace back a fault to the earthing within the circuitry. The fault was that the car kept flashing the indicators periodically when locked, every few seconds, for hours at a time (a single flash).

Installed in the boot of a UK-spec 2018 VW Golf GT Estate. Significant improvement over the original OEM halogen light.The illumination is greater, so things are easier to find at night, and the colour temperature matches the original OEM LEDs fitted elsewhere on the car – white rather than the original 'yellow'. No faults shown on the system, so all’s good there too.Very easy to install: simply pull out the original light; unclip the power supply to the bulb; connect this LED replacement; fit the light into place; push in and 'click' – job done. I wish I’d done it years ago.Highly recommended.

Fits perfectly and very bright compared to the original VW light that is fitted.i purchased because I use the boot alot in the dark.

It was easy to install, I connected it to the reverse light, and the display was connected to the cigarette lighter. Pick up the signal immediately, with no delay at all. The only issue, the mounting doesn't stay on the windscreen, or any other surface.Falling off after a couple of minutes. I had to find a different way to mounting. But otherwise this a good camera for this price!

Simply switch out the old bulb type and attach the connector. Much brighter and not prone to the bulb loosing connection. Can’t comment on longevity or bulb life but should have swapped it over sooner. Mine was for a VW Passat Estate. A well lit boot now 😀

Excellent upgrade from the dim oem light bulbs. So easy to fit, took less than a minute.No issues or errors etc. Hughly recommend.

Passar tyvärr inte Volkswagen Golf 4 som utlovat i bagagerummet. Den är nästan 75 % större. Men sådant händer.... Så nu går den i retur till Amazon.

Facile da installare, l'ho fatto senza attrezzi smontando prima tutta la mostrina in plastica che regge la plafoniera e poi staccando il connettore con cura premendo sugli appositi ganci. Poi ho separato la mostrina in plastica dalla plafoniera e ho inserito quella nuova a led.Luminosità almeno 3 /4 volte superiore a prima al punto che si vede anche di giorno, con quella di serie di giorno bisognava guardare la plafoniera per vedere se era accesa. Adesso, anche in pieno giorno, si vede la luce sulla moquette del bagagliaio.Non ho provato a sostituire le plafoniere della targa perché quelle di serie sono già a LED e fanno luce in abbondanza.

I bought this for my vw golf 7 facelift. The light is really good quality, better than the original i would say. The clip that holds it in place metal on this one and not plastic like the original so it holds it in place really tight. The light output is really high, it even illuminates the ground outside now. No error codes.
