Impossible to say if it's working. This is my second month using this product for my dog's separation anxiety and I'm still seeing the same symptoms. She has been doing a little better recently but I also do many other things (behavioral modification training, frozen Kongs and other chews, etc), so it's impossible to say whether this product is helping with her progress. I think I'll wait before buying again next month and see if her symptoms get worse again. I suspect it won't be clear-cut one way or the other. The research on these kinds of products tend to either be inconclusive or funded by the companies that sell them, and then there's the issue of whether your particular dog will respond to it. Something to try if your dog has behavioral issues but it's no substitute for other methods. As far as actually using it goes, I noticed the smell of the lavender very strongly when I first plugged it in and then nothing after that. The liquid level stays the same so you have to mark your calendar to know when you should replace it (and hope you aren't wasting your money by replacing it when the pheromone is still being diffused).

Love this stuff. Works as advertised. I use this when I need to kennel my dogs while out of the house. I'll also occasionally use this or the spray to get my little dachsie out of barking mode when he just feels he needs to express himself. So much nicer than negative reinforcements.

this is one of those things that you just may not ever know if it is working.you will not smell it in the room...supposedly sensitive doggy noses can though.I did not notice any change in my dogs, particularly the one for whom the trainer recommended this diffuser. It is in the small room where he is confined during the day. He is every bit as anxious as ever.I bought the diffuser and ONE refill. When the second bottle of smell runs dry, I will not replace it. If, then, my dog becomes increasingly agitated, I will amend the review.

This smelled really good and worked pretty good for my dog. We had a problem with our male spraying when other males came to visit but after using this product he seemed to calm down quite a bit and doesn't spray but every once in a great while.

we have had this plugged into the wall for over 2 months and looked at it the other day and the liquid is still all in the bottle and was warm to the touch but never worked at all what a waste of money and now i can't get my money back because of the date I missed . I would not buy this ever again!

These things are a life saver. I have a dog with severe separation anxiety. She would destroy my house when i would leave her alone. Now, I put on cartoons and plug this in before I leave. The damage is greatly reduced now. And I am so glad that I do not have to spend an hour each day cleaning up everything that was destroyed while I was gone.

My Beagle has just gotten too old and deaf to care for soothing measures. A first, it did seem to calm the nerves a little, but we've been through two months worth now and the anxiety at our absence has not changed. Can't say that if it wasn't a hearing impairment that this wouldn't work, but I've given up on this option.

I have no idea if this actually works but it was recommended by a dog trainer. It smells good at least and my dog doesn't seem to mind it.
