Should come with small instruction sheet!
No instructions come with these, but I think it should. So here is mine:1. Unscrew the lid and very carefully unfurl the light string.2. Under the cap there is an ON/OFF switch. Turn it to ON.3. Pack the light string gently back into the jar and replace the lid.4. Set out where the solar top will get the most time in the sun to charge.5. Give them a chance to come on in the dark after charging.6. If they still don't turn on, then under the cap there is also a AAA battery which may need to be changed.Should have included this information in the first place.

Love these, but 2 stopped working after only 2 months.
I ordered two sets of these and received them the end of June. I hung them on my fence about a month later. They were easy to assemble and lit up great. Very pretty warm light. However, after only two months of use, two have already stopped working. It may be that the batteries need to be changed, so I’ve just ordered some, but two months isn’t nearly enough battery life for solar. Pretty disappointed about that. If a battery change doesn’t solve the problem, I will contact the seller. I will update this review.

Not Waterproof at all!
They were great the two weeks they lasted! Then we had rain and they filled with condensation and stopped working. Amazon replaced them and after a few weeks it happened to the replacement as well.

Romantic garden lights!
Hung these from trees throughout my garden and it feels magical! I set switched to “on” and left them— they solar charge during the day and have a light sensor that turns on when it gets dark and off in the morning. Moderate rain did not seem to bother the solar sensors on top, they work great!

Very pretty
It's definitely a cute decoration for holiday season. Each jar came with a battery. I am using them as the alternative of my standing lamp now.

Don't waste your money
Lights have a short and you cannot count on them to come on. Sometimes they come on and sometimes they don't. Not worth the $.
