Good Book
Love this but I wish perennials where separated from trees. Lots of great information, just needs to be organized better.

Best Book for Best Native Plants
In two facing pages per plant, this reference provides detailed information in a list of well-organized descriptive categories: Landscape Use, Form, Native Range, Characteristics (including leaves, fruit, bark flowers), Culture (preferred growing conditions), Best Features, Companion Plants, Disadvantages, Allergenic & Toxic Properties, and Similar & Related Species. Each entry includes the botanical name, the common name and the pronunciation, as well as several photos showing the plant in the landscape and the plant parts, as well as many botanical drawings. This will become your go to book!

Best book for native landscaping plants
Best Book I have on native Florida plants. Two pages dedicated to each plant with pictures and description. Only wish is they made an extra index for plant type by common name. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to do native landscaping.

Title says great for Homeowner, I disagree
Pictures are great and info is good too. My main complaint is the the book and index is arranged alphabetical by botanical name and not common name. There is no common name index or cross reference either. It does give common names on the individual pages, so you might find what you are looking for by browsing the 411 pages. I fail to see how this is homowner freindly unless you are a homeowner that happens to have have a degree in hortoculture.

THE Florida Native Plant BIBLE!
This book was recommended to us by David Chiappini who contributed to it. It turned out to be an invaluable resource for keeping our new property all Native. Highly recommended!
