Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960-24TT-L 2960 24 Port 10/100 Switch

My home lab came with a 2950, which will get you through most labs with minimal modification. 2950s don't support IPv6 or multiple SVIs, but they support the rest so you can see what the lab is trying to teach you. I needed a 2nd L2 switch though, so I picked up a WS-C2960-24TT-L.The WS-C2960-24TT-L will support IPv6 (just change your SDM) and multiple SVIs. It has enough memory to upgrade to 15.0.2, which will let you run the latest CCNP-TSHOOT labs as written.I imagine later it will take a lesser role in higher certifications and other cert paths - PoE is probably handy for CCN_-wireless & CCN_-Voice, and I'm told that the CCIE R&S needs stack cables - but

Purchased my switch from Next Generation IT LLC. This is my second purchase from this seller and I am very satisfied. The item arrived withing 2 days as if it was Prime. The switch is in great working condition and came with all the hardware advertised in he description. This is by far the best price I could find without breaking the bank. I will be a returning customer!

Received the switch in a timely manner, the only complaint I have is the condition of the switch should be good and nothing more. The switch had more cosmetic damage than I expected, but still does the job for a lab environment.

We received these switches in a timely manner but the power cord is not for the United States!! It is a foreign plug and does us no good without a plug we can use in OUR country!!

Cisco 2960 are the gold standard in Layer 2 switches. They are perfect for most any small/medium business and most enterprise applications. You can run this right out of the box in an 'unmanaged' state, or connect to it and manage ports, QoS, etc. I highly recommend all of the switches in the 2960 line.

Shipped incredibly well, they arrived with IOS 12 on them which was unfortunate, but I managed to resolve that myself. 3 2960's made a nice addition to my 3 2811's for a CCNA Home lab. Definitely recommended.
