Running like a champ
I used this inverter on my off grid solar system in my shop building. I have been using this inverter to do all of the sort of daily tasks that I would need to do in a small shop. I charge tool batteries, run a circular saw, power the lights, jump start vehicles with a battery charger (yeah ironic). This inverter has done everything that I have asked it to do since I wired it in. The only thing that I have noticed is that with large inductive loads like a circular saw the lights dim a little when I pull the trigger. This isn't really "unusual". It is because of the large inrush current. If I had a larger battery bank or maybe some super caps in parallel it might not do this. IDK, I doubt it. It doesn't really cause any problems or bother me even though I'm picky about stuff like that. I'll get over it. Probably. This inverter is big enough to handle anything that you would plug into a normal wall outlet on any normal day. Just remember that it is big enough to handle anything that you would plug into a normal wall outlet and not everything in your entire house. A couple of lights and a circular saw? Sure. A couple lights, a circular saw, a coffee maker, deep freeze, electric hot plate and microwave oven at the same time? No. As with everything I recommend lowered expectations. 2000W/120V=16.67A Use a 15A breaker. If it pops then something is wrong. Turn something off. This is a pure sine wave inverter. If you don't know what that means, look it up. It is also rated for 2000W CONTINUOUS not peak. There is a big difference. If someone is selling a "2000W inverter" that costs half as much money check to see if it is continuous or peak that they are quoting. Also, if it doesn't weigh a ton and is the size of a deck of cards they may be lying to you. It happens a lot. Devices like this need to be able to dissipate a lot of heat (aluminum) and require a lot of inductors and transformers (copper and iron) to work properly. These things require space.I have it connected to 4 large 6v deep cycle Trojan batteries and my 60A outback charge controller. During the day I could probably feed two of these inverters. Derating look it up. It is wired directly into my shop's electrical system. I installed all of this including wiring my shop. Everything is run in EMT. I have a 15 amp din rail mounted circuit breaker for circuit protection on the building side. I have 3 4' LED shop lights that each draw 40W mounted to the ceiling on separate switches. Your mileage may vary with other components.

Finally!
Went through several 24v pure sine wave inverters (stay FAR away the from Go Power ones) before getting this one. This Samlex and remote is solid. As soon as I got it hooked up, grounded, and quick test...been in service 24/7 for the past six weeks. Loads go up to about 1,000 watts (running a window AC unit with a large start up surge). This Samlex handles it w/o any hissy fits or signs of better pissed off. I am using four Battle Born lithium batteries (4.8 kWh). No weird beeps, alarms, or signs of stress. It just WORKS! The remote is pretty nice too and shows realtime watts, frequency, current (A/C current), power factor, and volts (A/C volts). It is lighted when you push the select button, but turns off when not in use. Pretty happy with this purchase overall...I work with batteries, inverters, and DIY projects quite a bit. I can say this unit is a solid purchase if you use 24v and need to convert to 120v/60Hz A/C.

Some issues with power quality
There are some issues with the quality of power from this inverter. It's just fine with almost everything, but a power switcher (like the APS load switcher) doesn't like the power. Neither do inductive hot plates - even ones made to operate on inverters (like the ones truckers use). But it does have GFI and seems quite powerful.

Excellent performer!
I am doing a total remodel of a 30ft houseboat which I've modified for off grid solar use. I wanted to get an inverter that not only could power the finished product, but could handle the load of my power tools during the build. So far I've had an excellent experience running a 15amp miter saw, 12v car stereo system, and some LED lighting simultaneously. When not using my saw, I also sometimes run a 6000btu through wall air conditioner to keep my work area cool. While I've heard the fans kick on a few times here and there, generally this thing isn't even breaking a sweat. I'm very pleased with it and as long as it lasts a reasonable amount of time I'll be back to Samlex for another.Update -Has been running 24/7 since I originally left this review. No problems yet!

I highly recommend these inverters
I bought a used PST-2000-24 sine wave inverter on Amazon recently in "very good" condition. It has worked perfectly so far. I've had it installed in a farm building where my main solar array is located. I'm planning to use it to charge an electric utility vehicle. I just stress-tested the inverter today pulling 1320 watts for 10 minutes. The cooling fans didn't even come on - it was temperate today in Iowa, about 76 degrees. This is my third Samlex sine-wave inverter, all of them in the PST series, and all have been flawless. FYI, this is the first used one I've purchased. I highly recommend these inverters.

Extremely high quality robust inverter, you won't be disappointed. Works great for my solar system.
This has been running flawlessly with my solar system for over 6 months now. This is one of the best inverters in this price range you can buy, excellent quality. Make absolutely sure that you use good quality double ought cable or thicker, that is something a lot of people don't understand, trust me when I say you cannot use too big of wire from batteries to inverter the thicker the better. If you have to you can double or triple the wires going from batteries to inverter.
