Hats in the Belfrymens Fedora

I do really like this hat. It’s fairly well made. It’s light for a wool felt hat. It is a good hat for the price. However, it was poorly shipped. Apparently not as poorly as some others, but still quite poorly. It was shipped in a much too small box. Not just crushing it, but “training it into a particular out of whack form. I’m really not happy about it and after a several days I’m still trying to right it.A few reviews here saying that the hat is poorly made for the price are garbage. Most of my “entry level” hats in my collection were $100+. These folks don’t know hats.

I was very pleased with the quality of this hat and it is so comfortable! I am thinking of buying it in a different color!

First, on the Hats in the Belfry website they refer to this style as "Goon". This was not mentioned on Amazon's page for this hat when I purchased mine, and I don't know whether or not it might be important to someone.Second, the sizing is/was a bit of a surprise because, according to the Hats in the Belfry size guide, I should wear an X-Large. But Amazon's website recommended Large for me based on what other customers purchased, and this time they were spot on--this hat, size Large, fits as well as any of my other hats. I normally wear US size 7-1/2 (60 cm), so this was a bit of a surprise to me.Third, my hat arrived in a plastic bag, but the hat and bag were in a cardboard carton so the hat was protected to that degree. Mine did not come with the feather pictured in the listing, but I would have plucked it anyway if it had.Bottom line--not bad for a wool felt hat (I much prefer fur felt). Very good fit, comfortable, and I think it's a nice shade of Navy Blue. I'm pleased with my purchase, and might just get myself another one in Pecan.

I was hesitant when buying a hat at this price, but have been impressed with its quality. I will probably be returning for another hat in the future.

Looks cheap; came in crushed

Fit:It runs on the large side as far as fedoras usually go, but I just padded the lining a bit and fits nice.Form:The front kept snapping back for a few minutes, but a little training did the trick just fine. The stitching, ribbon and overall look are fantastic. I ordered the brown, but expected a light dusty brown like in the picture, but it is cacao brown through and through as you can see. It looks good, but buyer beware. THIS is the Brown. The other one I ordered is Pecan and looks just like it showed.Function:Yep. It’s very hatty. Can keep rain off your head and everything you’d expect from the function of a hat.

My husband has taken to wearing a hat each day. I did not want to break the bank but I am slowly buying him a fedora in his favourite colours. This hat pleased him and is good value given the construction and cost.
