I have heavily treated hair. Been coloring, perm, bleach, hot irons, etc for past 35 yrs. My hair can be dry, and frizzy. Now my hair seems quenched, and healthy. I use this product every 2-3 days. One small bottle lasts for 13 months. My hair is thick, and past my shoulders. A dab size of a nickel, them emulsify it in your hands vigorously till it covers your hands in a layer of white creaminess. Apply to hair and you will notice how much it covers. I leave it in my hair for a good 10+ minutes while I shave. I never need to use conditioner when using this product. I do use a leave in spray conditioner after I towel dry. My hair has never been healthier.

Was skeptical at first when I received. Seemed so tiny BUT a little goes a long way, amazing lather. I have medium length, wavy hair. My hair felt so soft, and so clean after shampooing. I think this bottle could last 5-6 months. I shampoo 2 times weakly. I'm sold!!°

Olaplex is a product line that repairs processed hair damage. I have damage from lightening done to try to blend my incoming gray hair so eventually, I will have all my natural hair and no color treatments at all. The highlights and lowlights, in combination with toner every 8 weeks have fried my hair and Olaplex is the only treatment system that has repaired the cuticle of my hair (smoothed it out) so that I don't look like I have a head covered in straw. This product, No.4 is the Maintenance Shampoo. It should follow a treatment of No.3 which is used once a week or as needed. (Less if your hair is healthier and more if it's not.) . The shampoo by itself leaves my hair feeling rough and it doesn't rinse well, but when it is used and then followed by No.5 conditioner and No.6 leave-in conditioner, it works great! NOTE: No.1 and No.2 are done in-salon and the best results will be achieved right after those treatments and daily use of No. 4, No.5 and No.6. This stuff is expensive, but it takes very little to get a rich lather. It's watery in its consistency, so you have to take care not to get too much running out of the bottle. I would never recommend this to anyone who has healthy hair already. It would be a waste of money. I would recommend it to those who have chemically processed hair that appears dull, dry or fuzzy, who are also committed to the whole system; both in the salon and at home. If you are willing to commit to the products and can afford to do so, it works, but you have to do them all to get the best results. I will be fully transitioned to my natural hair by the end of the year and will no longer need to use Olaplex as long as I don't use color, highlight or bleach my hair. But for the in-between, this stuff is a life-saver to parched hair as it rebuilds the hair, smoothing and softening it as it goes. If you need to bring life back to over-processed hair, give this stuff a try.

I did a little experiment trying to figure out which shampoos are best for my dark, layered hair. I bought Redken Volume Injection Shampoo, Moroccanoil Hydration Shampoo, and Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo. Some shampoos leave my hair looking disappointingly flat, so I was determined to find one that could give me that salon-worthy volume. First up was Redken, but it was a total flop. My hair fell flat immediately after showering, and even after blow-drying with heat protection, it fell flat again later in the day. It was so lifeless that I didn't even bother using it again. Then I tried the Moroccanoil Hydration Shampoo. It left my hair feeling clean and nice, but it didn't really do anything special. It was just average, and not something I'd go out of my way to buy again unless it was heavily discounted. Finally, I tried Olaplex No. 4, and wow, what a revelation! This shampoo is worth every penny. My hair looks incredibly healthy and shiny, and it feels thicker. The best part is that it gives me the volume I usually only achieve after styling. With Olaplex, I can simply brush my hair after air drying, and it looks like I just had a professional blowout. I'm definitely repurchasing this one!

Olaplex is the best in hair care. This shampoo is no different. It cleans thoroughly without leaving my hair dry, it has a pleasant smell, and nourishes at the same time.

Hands down, this is the best hair product on the market. The UAE water had damaged my hair making it fragile and snap easy ( snapping off by the handful every day). Even with a water filter, it still wasn’t enough. After spending thousands of dirhams on other various products trying to make my hair stronger, I should have started with Olaplex from the very beginning. It took around 3 treatments to feel significant strength return to my hair. There is now a normal amount of loss. Even my hairdresser noticed the difference (and she uses 1 and 2 as part of my colour treatment when I get my hair done). I use 0 and 3 together as well as Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner. It’s a small price to pay for big results. Very happy with this purchase and can’t recommend this product enough. A personal recommendation from me to you 🫶
