Great packaging, cats love it
UPDATED:So before buying this food I spent days of intensive research, vet reviews, personal reviews etc regarding 30+ variations of cat food. Looking into ingredients, customer satisfaction etc. I finally made my decision to come this cat food as it was ranked one of the highest when it comes to healthy cat food. I fed my cats dry food their whole lives so I'm finally switching them to wet food though I still plan on giving them some Nutro dry food at the end of the night. So anyway, I bought the 13.5 cans, two 12 packs and have a monthly subscription. I plan to split each can between my two cats, black one is 6/f and the other is about 1-3 years old, male. Anyway, my black cat, Lola is very very very clingy with me that when I travel or leave for long periods of time she howls and goes nuts, it's actually ridiculous. She has started chewing off her fur last year when I went to Nashville for a week and Wildwood for a week last summer. I finally got her to stop, though it was a very long process. I went to Atlanta for a week this summer and came back to a bald butt all over again. Started working two jobs and I go to college so she's still chewing at her fur and it takes MONTHS to grow back, and her coat is soft but rough. I'm really hoping with this food it'll help her grow her fur back, more fluffier, and perhaps make her more comfortable. Not only that but I want to give them both healthier options. The cans when I received them were all packaged fine, no Dents, no opened ones, etc. That was my main concern looking at these reviews. So far this is their first day and although they usually gobble their food down they took their time. The gray one finished way before my black cat but she is taking her grand old time, and let me tell you she's a MONSTER when it comes to food. She will climb up your leg, swat at your hand, try to knock anything you have edible out your hand to gobble it. But this food? Oh man she's definitely savouring it. Not only that but Jesus the smell of cat food? Disgusting. This stuff? Kinda smells like a gourmet meal, mushed up. I really would recommend this food but I'll keep updating this review as time progressesUPDATE 4/10Okay so let me tell you. This food?? Made my black cats hair grow in SO nicely omg. She feels like a plush teddy bear, softer than any fuzzy blanket I’ve ever felt! When her hair would grow back it would always be coarse and odd, but since I started her on this food she’s so much more active, her coat is BEAUTIFUL, and her eyes are brighter, their poops smell less as they now pee more. Let me tell you, their poops used to be god AWFUL but with this food it’s less poop and more pee which I’m happier to clean. Not only that but since her fur has grown in she stopped chewing at it like a monster, she’s so much more content and every time I come home from work she howls at me and walks over to where her food bowl is to try to guilt trip me into giving her some more. My cats absolutely love this food

Ingredients to Cost Ratio Are Great
UPDATE 14JUL20: Unfortunately this entire line of food has been discontinued. I can't say I wasn't expecting this a long time ago. This company is an LLC under an umbrella of major companies that do what companies do best these days: buy each other out and modify the product lines they never become attached to in any way. The pet food industry makes billions a year and it's hard to find quality affordable food that isn't pure garbage. For now I'm going with Instinct brand, particularly their cheaper chicken formula. Unfortunately it's also far more expensive and only slightly better in protein quality. This product was special - I think someone genuinely wanted to make good pet food at a lower profit margin. There was no other cost/quality ratio product like it. RIP.I really love this food. Well, that sounds bad...I, the human, love the macro nutrient to cost ratio of the product and the cat loves the food. A popular cat food database website breaks down the analysis quite nicely and the macros are quite good for this price range. They're on par with some of the more expensive foods in this quality range.I've had my cat for about eight months. Naturally the shelter fed the cat colony she came from with what they were offered from the big league brands (obviously better than starving to death - they do what they must). I did a quick lookup of the dry kibble in question and it was by far some of the worst available, chock full of bi-product meal, grains, a hefty coating of animal fat to make it enticing and a host of thoroughly-researched food chemistry items employed by the pet food industry's arsenal of budget chow. After a few months of feeding better quality wet foods, her coat went from flat and almost straw-like to shiny and soft. Energy levels are definitely at a maximum and unlike most cats I've observed in other households of acquaintances, she never begs for food unless it's a routine feeding time (thanks to not being carb-dependent).I like that this food doesn't involve guar gum. I don't like the idea of this solid, indigestible substance chugging along the rather small, sensitive colon of a cat. Anytime I switched to a food with guar gum I would clearly see it in her stools.I feed roughly 140-160 grams of food per day to a small 8 1/2 pound female, as this food is around 1 calorie per gram. She's maintained this weight consistently. Keeping pets at a healthy weight is actually very easy once you dial in this calculation of calories per pound and stick to it without feeling the need to supplement meals with poor quality kibble and carby treats. My word of advice is to never grow too loyal to a pet food brand without occasionally checking the ingredients. Formulas can change and it's not often with your animal's well being in mind. So far this brand has been pretty solid and has been in the spotlight for the longest on my pet supply list. Don't believe any of the quackery you hear about animal diets such as intentionally alternating formulas/brands, switching between wet/dry and mixing foods to avoid nutrient deficiencies. There's no need to supplement anything unless your cat's labs come back with a marker to be concerned about. The "scientific" diet brands are also overpriced garbage - if your pet needs to lose weight you reduce their calorie intake gradually with their proper calorie to weight ratio calculated (available all over the internet). These aforementioned feeding strategies mainly exist to benefit pet food manufacturers, not your pet.

The proof is in the puddin'
This food is awesome for my two 17 yo cats. My boy got diabetes and I had to give him insulin shots everyday. He used to weigh 17 lb so obviously he was overweight. I didn't think he was that fat, I just thought he was big. I had to completely change his diet. When I stopped feeding him dry food his insulin levels immediately changed for the better . It's not good for cats at all anyway because it has more additives and carbs. Felines are not supposed to eat carbs; they are carnivores. . This food is one of the foods that are more concentrated with natural ingredients and low carbs, low fat, and mostly good quality protein. Of course because my cat had diabetes and they're old I had to have a bunch of his teeth removed so I just mush up the food with water and they love it. I even put half a teaspoon of coconut oil in their food. Another thing that changed is there coat. It's super silky and shiny now but that was mostly from the food not necessarily the organic coconut oil. I chose this brand based on content of the food. I got this website from this doctor that listed almost every brand of food out there and what the contents are in each one. That was how I chose this brand. Of course I could have chose a brand that had a little more protein but I also weighed the difference with the cost. These are domestic cats not wild so they can have a little bit of carbs. =^>"<^=

This is really good cat food
This is really good cat food. I have done exhaustive research into wet cat food, and this is the best quality and value you can find. It doesn't have carrageenan, which is found in most wet foods (which can cause cancer) and has good quality ingredients otherwise. I read other reviews that said the food was bad, with one person even saying it was rancid when received..... the case i got, wasn't bad or rancid, but it was definately much more liquid than I have ever got it from the store. My cats ate it, and the extra liquid was kind of good, because my cats hardly drink any water.... I am wondering if it was stored improperly before shipping or something.

Cat loves this brand and flavor.
My cat is so picky with food. He loves this brand and I'm happy because it's healthy. Wish it wasn't so pricey, but with quality comes $$.

Food is great cat likes it when I mush it up with ...
Food is great cat likes it when I mush it up with water lost 1 star because the can had a lip so it's hard to cut the can into easy portions. Instead I just scoop out an aproximate amount from the can.
