Simple tool that works great
The sander is very easy to set up and use and the 50 grit sandpaper makes quick work of flattening the plastic or wooden tip of a billiard cue stick. It has two positions to make best use of the surface of the sandpaper The plastic sleeve tips are concave to match the actual tip glued to them, so the sander quickly and easily flattens the plastic to accept a flat-bottomed replacement tip. Superglue seems to work best on flat surfaces, so I use 100 or 150 grit sandpaper to remove the scratches of the 50 grit. It would be great if the kit came with a higher grit (100 or 150) sandpaper to "finish off" the tip of the cue stick, but it is readily available locally.

The Real Deal, and a real deal!
Genuine Tweeten. Last time, I bought one of these from a different seller for the same price and got a cheaply made piece of junk. This one is made of thick, quality materials, is straight, and flat, and works perfectly. Would (will) buy again. Thank you!

This does the job, but the sand paper it ...
This does the job, but the sand paper it comes with is too much of a grit and leaves curved grooves. I suggest getting lighter grits of sand paper to make the job look cleaner. With that said, this is a solidly constructed tool that does what it says and works well. Get it if you have no one with a lathe to put tips on for you.

Works great, just remember to rotate the cue shaft 90 ...
Works great, just remember to rotate the cue shaft 90 degrees four times right at the end of the sanding process so you will have a super flat ferrule surface for your felt spacer and the new tip to set upon. Oh yeah DON"T use Super Glue Jell om the surfaces, use the liquid so it can soak into the surfaces to be joined. Happy Hustling! Oh yeah, try out the Morakami II™ tips their better than the Kamui and cost a lot less. If you can't find them for 20-25 bucks send me a message and I'll hook you up. Jim

Great Product
I tried to replace tips without this product. What a nightmare. With this you get a perfect surface. I replaced two tips in about 20 minutes. They came out perfect. Either pay someone that has a lathe machine or do it yourself with this. You will need a sander to shape the tip if it is oversized as most are. I recommend Cue Stick Tip Sander Shaper Pool Billiard. Very cheap and works well. Highly recommend.

Poor Build Quality. Will Damage A Cue Stick.
Black debris made my fingers dirty right out of the box. The main component looks cast and has grinder marks, burrs and sharp edges. The clamping parts don't align and their cue contact surfaces are irregular. This tool will damage your cue stick. The holes the sanding disc spindle is inserted into are not centered. The sanding disc is not 90 degrees perpendicular to the side of the ferrule so it sands the top of the ferrule at an angle. Disappointed. I would not expect such poor workmanship from a product they say is made in the U.S.A. Older reviews are favorable but this thing is junk. Don't waste your money.

I was expecting it to work fine and was not disappointed, their is nothing to it the hard part is to get it strait and flat this does it in no time I use to do them by hand and it was time consuming the only thing to worry about is to take care not to damage the would when tightening the tool I just wrapped a peace of paper around the shaft and that did it. Because we dont do this operation very often and it is a little expensive I put it off. Know I am very satisfied and I enjoy fixing them even for my friends.

I love the product but I only received 1 sanding disc and the advert stated 12. I would love the seller to get in touch to arrange extra discs if possible?

I have to admit that using this tool seemed sketchy to me. I have forty years since I started i the machinist's/fitter trade and recently retired. My four in one tool was giving me a slight crown on the end ... not good for bonding a new tip to. This guy showed up and zip, zip, zip. Two minutes and I was done and squared ! In fairness,I did watch the video about this on YouTube. It is really easy to use and pretty accurate. I recommend this one for sure ! Just don't use a lot of pressure on this when you're using it. Use the outer ring to rough and the inner to finish. Make sure the emery paper isn't creased when you screw the disc together. Enjoy.
