Safari Sun Hats for Women Fishing Hiking Cap with Neck Flap Wide Brim Hat

I LOVE this hat. It gets no points for style, but it is the best sun hat I've ever used. It's cool because of the fabrics and built-in vents in the top. I roll it up, carry it in my purse, and use it 5+ days a week. It's showing no signs of wear or distress after many weeks of use. I highly recommend this to anyone who is sensitive to the sun, people who want to protect their skin from cancers and aging, and vampires who work the night shift but can't get home before sunrise.

Product was delivered quickly and in new condition. I love these hats. I own 5 of them. I wear them on my walks and in the garden, but this would make a perfect fishing hat. They cover everywhere you need covered, and they are adjustable. This hat stays on even in a stiff breeze.This hat does not say that the fabric is sunproof, but it is thick enough I don't worry. I've bought others in the past that do state they fully block the sun. These come in lots of colors.

If you're looking for a UPF 50 hat, this is NOT it. The sunshine penetrates the material easily on this hat with the exception of the brim, which is over twice as thick. I almost sent it back, but... in the mornings and late evenings when the sun isn't an issue, but the heat is, it offers some protection while letting my head breath. It's a tiny bit snug on me, but, most hats are as my head is over 23" in circumference (size 62). Because its brim is thick and it curves around my face, it helps with driving when the morning & evening sun would normally blind me. Unfortunately, it arrived oddly bent and, thus far, my attempts at reshaping it have proven futile. If I had to do it over again, I'd have passed this one on, but, since it's here and has some utility, I reacon I'll keep it.

This is a fantastic hat if you require more protection than sunscreen can provide. I have lots of wide brimmed hats but this design is more portable and practical than most. The front gives excellent shade and has a nice curve more like a ball cap shape than the usual flat or floppy brim. The flat back means it can be worn while in a car and is less likely to be knocked around in a tight crowd. I liked the neck flap quite a bit more than I expected. It stays cool and covered my neck and shoulders nicely without getting in the way. The sizing is adjustable as well, which meant this hat fits nicely on a variety of head sizes. My priority is preventing sunburn, rather than fashion, and this hat fits my needs. It can be rolled up and stuffed in a purse without any damage or warping.

Excellent sun protection, fits great with room for larger heads, has an adjustable strap on the back to accommodate your size head. Nice light color doesn't attract heat.

I love this hat. In fact, I have two, because the other has been through it. The South Texas sun is intense and anytime I'm outside more than a few minutes, my hat is coming with me. It protects my face, front and sides, and my neck. It's perfect! I don't even care if it doesn't make me look like a fashion model. I do not have a little head and I have think hair and I have no problem fitting the hat. There is actually a drawstring that can be tightened or loosened, as needed, around the crown. There is also one that goes under your chin, for when it's windy outside. That has really come in handy for me. My hats have been crushed, squeezed, machine washed, and stepped on repeatedly and they still looks good. So, if you need a hat that really protects your head and neck from the sun, this is the one. Seriously.

Love that this hat protects my neck and I can sit in a chair and lean back. Most hats with coverage have a brim all the way around. Little big but I just tightened it up and I'm good to go.

The hat fits me perfectly, the color is just what I wanted, and I love how wide the brim is. Definitely the kind of protection from the sun that I need. The problem is that the hat is not well made. After three weeks of occasional use, the material started to fray and pull apart in an area that was impossible to sew back together. Fortunately, I was able to return that hat and get a replacement. However, that should never have happened with a three week old hat. I suspect the current one will begin having the same problem before too long, and it is now too long from the original order to get it replaced.
