When you need a lubricant that goes on like a thin oil, but dries and does not collect dust and debris like a wet oil would… This seems to work great.

Like the way this stuff dries to a film without leaving an oily surface to attract abrasive dust and dirt. I use it in pocket knives, and especially like it on multi-tools like Leathermans. Saves your thumbnails! A tiny amount goes a long way. I t’s great to carry knife or tools in pocket without the potential of oil staining. It’s very light, so works well on fishing reels too. I’ve also used some on clothing snaps like those on jean jackets to make operation easier without the risk of attracting dirt or having oil migrate into material. A thin micro fiber with a little of this on it makes a good blade wipe down cloth to use before storing knives.

The applicator bottle is pretty good at what it does, but you can get those anywhere so really it the convenience of having the oil delivered.You only get a tiny amount and I can be pretty oil heavy in just flushing gunk out even after a wash.Honestly this has had mixed results. I’ve used it on stubborn springs for multi-tools and it’s worked great, but on other tools I expected better performance, it seized up plenty of blades and tools on my Swiss Army Knife which doesn’t ever have difficulty opening or closing before but it did after using this. So honestly I’ll keep the applicator but stick to something better.

This stuff is slick! I use to lube my Cuckoo clock works as well as all locks around the place. The applicator is nice and long and enables me to put the oil exactly where it's needed.

I thought I'd try this lubricant for the custom Kydex brand thermoplastic knife sheaths I make so the blades that go in them will be better protected against moisture in a way that won't attract dust or lint. The product says that it is a, "quick drying, powerful dry film rust inhibitor and lubricant." This product is exactly that. The "needle" applicator allows you to apply a small amount right where you need it, such as at a hinge point. I've coated several knife blades so far and a little bit goes a long way if you spread it out with your finger-tip. The liquid dries quickly, but not so fast as to make it hard to spread around. It does leave an odor after it dries, but the odor is neither strong nor unpleasant. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their knife blade free from rust without having to suffer the usual dust, grit, or lint accumulation that occurs with the use of gun oil or other oil-based products.

I appreciate that this laves no oily residue once it dries. It also has ZERO gunk build up as the liquid dries. That's a great feature in lubricant. This Sentry Lubricant has a VERY handy needle like applicator to get to hard to reach places. I did about 20 of my knives over a few days and all perform better than before. Really good stuff. Only used half the bottle. Little goes a long way here. Solid item. I give it an A+.

This lubricant works very well on my folding knives. Both washer and ball bearing types.
