Cost Effective Alternative
It is a cost effective alternative to "real", more costly Permagenta. I was able to put in a printer which is not possible with thicker Permagenta. It takes paint and ink well.

Love this for calligraphy!
As a professional calligrapher, I have bought pergamenata parchment paper for years, but it always has a wrinkly surface which bothers me. I tried this and found it to be the perfect solution. It maintains enough of the translucency that it so beautiful in Pergamenata, but it has the sturdiness of card stock that allows it to lie perfectly flat. It takes calligraphy ink and prismacolor pencils wonderfully. I'm so glad I found this here on Amazon. Too bad it doesn't come in larger sizes, but it will be perfect for most of my projects.

Perfect paper for lanterns
Used this paper inside lanterns as a light diffuser. They let through a lot of light while diffusing well and giving a very natural feel. Consistent quality, flexible, but stiff enough to hold their shape; I was even able to stitch them together without a hint of tearing. The more yellow lantern in the picture is from 2 layers of paper.

Too heavy
This cardstock is too heavy to work with my Epson printer.

Perfect for SCA Scrolls
If you are beginning medieval scribal work, or a long term scribe, this is a great source of very reasonably priced perg for small projects.

I do calligraphy and illumination. This is just as good as the expensive perg I had been buying from another vendor. Totally buying more of this stuff.
