Pretty Bearded Iris, Reblooming German Iris, Color Mix, Fresh Root, Rhizome, Plant, Easy to Grow

I'm a horticulturist so I will revisit this review (roughly) every 6 months to update the review until I achieve a desired result. Stars will be added or taken away based on variables.First note I wish to make, many people on this item's reviews are upset that their Iris didn't bloom after planting it. My Bearded Iris rhizome came approximately 1 inch. Blooming takes a lot of energy for a plant, so it is unreasonable to expect this plant to bloom within the first year of receiving it. If not next year, the year after. There simply isn't enough stored energy in this small rhizome to do so. Gardening takes patience. I have Peonies that I'm still waiting to bloom 3 years later.May 12th 2021:I made the point of ordering this Bearded Iris during the mid spring growing season as I noticed a lot of people complained theirs looked dead when the got it. I assume this is because they are receiving stored, off season rhizomes that needed to be soaked. Mine arrived healthy with a bit of leafy growth that had been trimmed. I planted it in a pot to be observed. First picture is what I received, second picture is what it is supposed to look like. The intent is for it to grow somewhat more then plant it in the ground.___It had very weak growth then died. I anticipated this happening as it was too small which means little energy to grow and increased the risk of failure. My recommendation, don't buy.

I wish this flower would have bloomed!My garden is my hobby, passion and Pride! It is here that I pay homage to the memory of my mother. It is sacred ground, if only to me and my thoughts. When I add to my garden, I do so with the focus of a surgeon. Its not the money that I paid for this root, it's the fact that it will not flourish that bothers me

I received two very healthy plants wrapped in water soaked newspaper and also practicle instructions for care of the plants. I will not hesitate to buy more plants from this company.

I bought this off a page that had only one pic so that's what I thought I was getting. NOT. What I got was one of a color mix which means that I have no idea what . I won't do this again as I only wanted what was shown. My bad but it seems like false advertising.On the positive side, the plant is in very good condition.

Instead of being wrapped paper, the bulbs could have been wrapped with a hand full of peat moss to protect the bulbs

These arrived healthy but smaller than I expected. I planted them and they're already growing and are healthy. I can't wait to see them bloom this summer.June 2019 Update - The bulbs are still quite healthy, but no blooms this first year. This can happen with a lot of plants/bulbs the first year they are planted. If you haven't grown iris rhizomes before they can look dried up and shriveled. Upon receiving the iris I soaked them in water overnight and planted them immediately the next day. Iris are known to be so hardy you can rototill them under and they will still survive. You can toss them over your fence and they will grow where they land. Like I've said before you have to work at killing iris - give them a good year to acclimate to where they are planted.

Product came moldy and in two very small pieces, there are no live roots and looks nothing like an iris root. Shipped from china, VERY bad product and no way to return.

This seller is so much better than the last company I did busness with that will never happen again. These guys are amazing, bulb was well packed for shipping and arrived in healthy and wonderful condition. I can't wait until it blooms I expect it will be spectacular
