Great pads.. mediocre straps
It's as good as foam blocks can get, but the straps are pretty useless. I bought ratchet straps to keep it really secure and use the straps in this kit as tie downs to my roof and rear hatch.

Great cheaper option for boards
I have used it about 5 times now for my 10ft 5 SUP board on my old 2004 Toyota Corolla. It's a great cheaper option to a roof rack. The buckle is a sturdy solid metal piece. Straps look ok. I've gone on the highway at speeds up to 68mph. I had two large tractor trailer play a passing game with my car at 60mph , creating a huge gust of wind that pushed my car but the board didn't budge. I have a very soft roof and when I tighten the strap it does temporarily dent the roof. I do notice some "up" lift on the board when driving but I assume that's due to my soft roof. If you have a new car that you are obsessed about keeping pristine, have a real roof rack installed in case your roof isn't as soft and the dent isn't as temporary. I like how there are separate straps to strap the foam pieces around the board. It give me something extra to grab on when the place the board on and off my car.I do wish the instructions were slightly more detailed. I still haven't figured out the best way the thread the straps through the buckle on the straps that attach the foam to the board. But it's not that important, the cam straps are good. I had someone teach me to use them. You thread from bottom to top of buckle. I'm sure I could have figured it out through trial and error but again, it would have been nice if there was a diagram. Remember to put a twist in the strap on each side between block and the door - it will stop the strap from vibrating at speed and making a loud sound. And for extra security make a knot with the loose end of the strap before the buckle after you have tightening the strap to maximum tightness (there are youtube videos out there to show what I mean).

READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!! DONT TRUST THE STRAPS!
I think this product has a lot of potential but I had a major issue with the straps that were provided. After following all the instructions, I set up my paddle board on my roof and 10 minutes into the drive, going about 45 mph, the paddle board shifted back. As I went to pull over the entire board lifted up off the roof of the car. I almost got in an accident and nearly lost my $900 board. The front strap with a metal clamp came completely loose. The back clamp seemed to be okay. I'm not sure if the clamp we were given was defective or if the quality is just very poor. I am very disappointed by this product and this stressful event halted what was supposed to be a fun day. If you are going to buy this product DO NOT TRUST THE STRAPS. It could end up costing you a lot more than this thing is even worth.

effective but finicky
Easy to use, and much much more affordable than having a roof rack installed... however, if you do have a roof rack these work even better for supporting the paddle board- just be careful, there is a very fine line between secure and denting in the roof of your car... especially at highway speeds

Works as intended
This product works pretty well. I haven't had any slippages of the boards, and no damage to my room. I've taken them on a highway, on a street, on the roof of a regular sedan. I haven't tried using the ratchets provided though, and am using more industrial ones.

Good product!
Works great with stand up paddle board. Used on a 2009 Honda pilot. Works well, have yet to take out onto highway, but keeps paddle board snug. We use the stacker pads on top of our paddle board to lessen strap pressure on edges of paddle board when snugging down straps.

Works well for us
I bought this for my wife so she could put her SUP on her sedan. She is vertically challenged and had trouble getting it on my taller SUV. It really helps her that she can strap the carrier to board and then lift both onto the car rather than trying to get the SUP on the carrier that is already attached to the car.It is stable enough for short trips around town. I am not sure if I would be comfortable driving for an extended period on the highway with the existing tie downs, but it works fine for our purposes. You could easily by some heavy duty ratcheting tie downs to make it more stable for long trips.

Did the job
I was pretty skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I needed something to transport my brand new and very expensive paddleboard on a 3.5 hour journey to the cottage. It took some videos and a lot of trial and error but I am quite happy with the purchase. My only complaint is that the two 9 foot straps are completely useless. However the CAM straps worked great. I was very cautious and made sure my board was secure all throughout the drive but it held up beautifully. All in all a pretty decent purchase for $100

It worked but barely
I had to transport my new SUP to the cottage. It was a one-time move so I went with this product which was the cheapest option. It worked but I had to stop three times on my 250 km trip because the wind pushed the front support so far back (past half-way). I was going about 110 km/h and had three people help secure it very tightly. This is really expensive for what is basically 4 foam pads and 2 straps. You could probably make it yourself much cheaper from a hardware store if you wanted to save money. That said, if you are lazy and you only need to transport a SUP once or twice, this is a decent option.
