Lively spy spoof!
If the 1960s OSS flicks were the French answer to James Bond, then 'Rio' is the French answer to Austin Powers. It's utterly politically incorrect and occasionally screamingly funny: the final exchange between OSS 117 and his boss just about finished me off. Buyers should note that for some reason the menu does not offer an English language option, however my Panasonic BR picked up English subtitles and I imagine other models will do the same. Incidentally, Gaumont have just released the original series of films on BR, also with English subtitles: the two featuring Frederick Stafford are pretty lively entertainment with some gorgeous location shooting.

Great movie and the books are great too
Great movie and the books are great too. I like hearing the actors in their original voices and it helps with language learning. Why not have fun while learning? Jean duJardin is amazing through and through. Storyline is as would be expected, crude humor. So you need a sense of humor to enjoy this sense of humor. Absolutely no disappointments here. How French are you meme applies.
