True Fiction!
One reviewer dismissed this as just fiction, but if you've read the nonfiction about Luther, as I have for decades, you'll appreciate how the author captured the spirit of Katherine and Luther without at all deviating from the truth. This excellent work is historical fiction at it's best. I only wish it were longer, but it was long enough to cover the basic story and also whet the appetite of those who want to know more. Highly recommended.

Good historical read
this is a romantic fiction that tends to follow the historical records of that period of reformation that deals with Kitty's life and the ministry to Martin Luther, her family, and all who came under the roof of the first Protestant parsonage. In many ways, up to recently Kitty's life and labors parallels the life and labors of ministers wives for the next 450 years.

Katharine von Bora Luther.
A nicely written book capturing the time and space in which Katharina lived. This book made it seem so real I had to gasp a number of times feeling the hardships they all suffered as they tried to bring the church into a relationship with God. Life surely was hard in that age. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to get a good feeling of the beginnings of the Reformation.

This book is excellent!
I read this book years ago when my children were young and living at home. Now they are grown and have families of their own. My son and my lovely daughter-in-law named their youngest daughter after this remarkable woman. May she grow up to love Herr LORD as much as Katharine Luther.

It's a novel, not a biography
As of today [October 2012], there is nothing on the images of the book itself nor on this page at Amazon which suggests Kitty, My Rib is a novel. Everything currently in the description suggests this is an historical account of Katharina Luther. It is merely a novel based on a true story. As a novel it's fine enough, but I was so disappointed that I haven't finished the book.UPDATE: Amazon now allows a Look Inside this book. Buried in the preface is the notice that this is a "fictionalized biography." The prose itself, of course, is an indicator. Three years ago, all of this information was not available to the buyer until after purchase and receipt of the book.

Love Conquers Fear
I admired this young woman's spiritual convictions, and her strong faith that gave her the courage to pursue her beliefs. Her devotion to her husband is a testament of the power of selfless love.
