The end pieces go INSIDE the longer frame parts. At first I tried putting the longer frame piece in the end frame and it appeared to not align with the other holes. But that’s not how it’s meant to be assembled.Take the end frames (squares) and those lips go inside the long frames. Most of the holes will now align. I had one out of 8 holes that didn’t align right and couldn’t use the screw but it’s sturdy without it.It looks great once I figured out the directions weren’t clear. This should fix the same mistake all of the negative reviews have made. Understandably, the instructions aren’t clear.

This bench was exactly what I was looking for at the end of our bed. The color is beautiful and the linen fabric makes it look expensive! Assembly was fairly easy, although like anything you put together yourself, it always get a little tricky on the last screw or two, but simple overall. I LOVE it!!!

Great bench! Not made for a ton of weight but looks more expensive then it is

This was the perfect size and simple style that we needed for our dining table. However, a few months in, it started to get really wobbly. We made sure the screws were tight - there was always one screw that just kept spinning. I should have sent it back then. Tonight I was sitting on it for dinner and all of a sudden one of the bars broke off where it should be welded together. It’s completely useless now and we have guests coming for Christmas Eve in a few days!

We ordered three pieces of Walker Edison furniture through Amazon. While we were very happy with the first product (a writing desk), the other two products were defective, this being one of them. The pieces to this particular item will not fit. It looks like the metal was soldered wrong because there is no room for the rods or screws to fit into their proper places.Although the products from this manufacturer look nice, it seems they're a hit or miss. Order at your own risk!***UPDATE***After reading these reviews, I was able to properly assemble this bench and I am pleased with it. Funny, it seems most of the bad reviews this product has received are due to the manufacturer's faulty instructions. They could simply edit their instructions to say "insert" instead of "attach." I reached out to them a few days ago but still haven't heard anything back. Meanwhile, I must say that I am super grateful for all of the helpful customer reviews!

Love it! Very easy to assemble, and plenty sturdy and heavy for the price, exactly what we needed! Love the black base! Only had one screw hole that wasn’t lined up, but thankfully it was one on the bottom of the seat and had 9 other screws on the bottom so I just didn’t put that one in! Ended up being a better size than anticipated for in front of our king size bed

I was hesitant to order, due to some bad reviews about the screws not lining up. Then I read a review and got a great hint that the end pieces go inside the frame parts. I decided to take a chance.It was super easy to assemble and all the screws lined up. No wobbles. I had it set up in 20 minutes. It's true, the instructions are not very clear but I figured it out. ( I counted how many screws I had for each set of holes.)It looks great at the base of my king bed.This bench is definitely worth it! I feel I got a great purchase.

Horrible assembly process. Practically all of the screws stripped while trying to get them in, and I was following the directions! Once put together there is a definite wobbling. It looks nice but not great for actually sitting on. Which is obviously counter-intuitive.
