Straight to the point and no added fluff!
The book is written for the newest CompTIA Network + N10-007 Exam. These guys get it right every time. It's great to read a book that is simple, covers the exam topics, and straight to the point. There's no added fluff or extra talk between saying what needs to be said. The authors keep it simple, concise, and they move on. Solid explanations with "Very Well" organized content. You don't get the usual I'll cover this in a later chapter so much as you do with other books. What's covered in the chapter you're reading is in that chapter. This is specifically why I come back to their books as a study resource and a reference to brush off the rust. There's also quality pictures showing in detail the different cable connectors, cable types, patch panels, and so forth. If your looking for a book that keeps it simple, organized, easy to understand, easy to follow, stays on course, and gets straight to the point without straying off path, this is the book. Although it doesn't say it on the front cover, if you read the description under the buying options it tells you this book is written for the CompTIA Network + N10-007 Exam. Also, you can download the sample and read the first 14 pages of the material to give you an idea of what the rest of the book will be like. I hope this review helps.

Highly Technical And Efficient
For those that might not understand what this book is used for — it’s a college textbook, that’s meant to teach networking fundamentals. It’s true that it DOES cover the objectives listed in the Comptia Network + exam, but if you buy this book to “self study” for the exam you may be disappointed because there’s no answers to the review questions (which are crucial in helping you learn), nor are there answers to the end of the book “Sample Exam”, which is very disappointing. On the plus side, it’s well organized, to-the-point, and highly technical. Contrast this to the other Network + study materials (Myers and Lammle’s books) which contain a TON of rambling and unneeded information. There’s also plenty of great color pictures and graphs and study tips. Also, the end of chapter “labs” listed are excellent and I highly suggest doing them all. But don’t count on this as being your *only* source of study for the Network + exam; but it’s still quite good and “to the point”. I recommend it.

Great book
This is exactly what I was looking for and it came as described. My only error was I didn’t read that it was coming from overseas. That was my bad so definitely not taking points off for my error. The seller was great with communication and giving me a tracking number once it reached the states! I would recommend buying from this seller.

Good content but frustrating
I think this book has a lot of good information. Some good tips. I don't think it enough alone will help you pass the network + exam. I did pass the exam with other materials for assistance. There are some topics that I think the authors go into way too much detail and forget to leave out the critical parts on how to pass the exam. They do have some good real world recommendations that go beyond the exam such as software recommendations. The frustrating part of the book are the chapter questions. There are no answers. The questions could be formatted with more simulation type stuff versus all multiple choice and fill in the blank.
