The Essential Guide to Crystals: All the Crystals You Will Ever Need for Health, Healing, and Happiness (Essential Guides)

I am obsessed with the information in this book. It not only gives geology facts about each important healing stone (which I love and appreciate as a geologist), but gives the history, magic and healing properties of each stone/gem. It is small and compact (not a tome like some other crystal books) and easy to tote around. Organized by color for easy finding too. The authors definetly did a lot of research on the crystals in this book. By far my top crystal book. Get it if you are new to healing. It is not only for beginners but helps with more advanced healers too. Winner, 100%.

I've worked and played with crystals over a long period of years. I have a number of "crystal" books and even more "crystal" books which I've given away becausethey were sadly lacking. The Essential Guide is an excellent book because of the wide cross section of its coverage. I recently purchased a copy for a friend. If you only want onecrystal book, this is the one I'd recommend.

I have taken up an interest in crystals lately and this is the second book (The Essential guide to crystals: All the crystals you will ever need for health, healing, and happiness by Simon and Sue Lilly) I have read on the subject. I purchased this book (288 page soft cover) on Amazon for a bargain price and found it to contain an enormous amount of practical information on more than 100 crystals. This book explains the healing property and the main focus on each crystal.This slick volume is organized into two parts. Part one explains the power of crystals. Part two covers in detail numerous types of crystals and their purpose and healing power. Some of these include: black and silver crystals, brown crystals, red, orange, light green, green, turquoise, light blue, dark blue, violet, pink, white, clear, and multicolor crystals. Fossils, rocks and quartz are also explained in this book.If you are seeking a fully illustrated book on various types of crystals you may want to check out this interesting and informative volume.Rating 4 Stars. Great reference guide, And I own just about every one out there! One of the best features about this book the the color coded side edge of the pages, nice feature if you trying to find out which stone you are looking at and don't know the name.

A beautifully presented book. Full of fantastic information.

Not only did it meet my expectations it exceeded them. Full of very useful infomation regarding the healing properties of crystals and a very user friendly way of identifying unknown crystals. Some of the photographs are truly stunning. I would thoroughly recommend it as a starting reference book for anyone new to the subject. Excellent!
