Great thick wire that you won't need to worry about
I have always had my ground wire connected to a screw against the metal in the back of the car. It wasn't until recently that I started having issues with the amp cutting in and out. I spoke to some people at Best Buy install and they recommended I run the ground directly from my battery just as you do the power wire and it should eliminate any guessing if the ground is good or not. I didn't know that was a thing until I talked to them. It just makes sense. If you run the power from the battery, why not run the ground from the battery. Save yourself some time and headaches and just get this when you buy the power wire and run them both of the battery. Would recommend as the wire is very hefty and thick gauge. 25 feet is probably too much, but I would rather have extra then not enough!

Some people just should not write reviews.
How could someone ever possibly give this wire a 1 or 2 star? Would you possibly like a more rigid construction? Perhaps thicker strands of wiring inside the insulation, giving it more resistance? Or maybe they should just add more resistance to the wire altogether, because there is 0 resistance in this wire? And of course that is what we want, resistance, so that we can heat up the wire and melt the insulation. Please, pardon my sarcasm, but seriously, some people should just not write reviews on Amazon. I just had to vent my apologies. That being said, this wire is just fine. As good as you are going to get for car audio or anything else requiring 4 gauge wire. It is slightly thinner than true 4 gauge because better too thin than too thick.

But for normal use like distribution block to amplifier this should be OK
Seems OK, flexible, the outer jacket/plastic coat is really thick but soft. This is not pure copper, this is copper clad aluminum CCA, which is why it's extremely light weight. If I had to run this through my firewall I think I'd have to reinforce this wire somehow. But for normal use like distribution block to amplifier this should be OK. And it's slightly smaller than the 4 guage wire I've purchased from audio shops previously.

Good quality for the money
Great quality cable for auto amplifier install. Not pure copper but works fine, bends easily.
