Blue Sea Systems 9002E e-Series Battery Switch, Selector 4 Position with AFD, Red, Beige

I would chose this a/b switch over any other especially the Perko ones.. much easier to switch between batteries, no loss of power, and looks a lot better flush mounted !

I purchased this for the battery bank in my sailboat. It was super easy to install and it works great!

If your boat sits for a couple of weeks between seasons, this is an easy install but you do need the short cables of thick wire. I could not trace out the tiny electrical drain but having to charge the battery between runs is now forgotten. With winter I can just shut it down and forget for weeks. Peace of Mind!

This switch is completely sealed from the elements. I boat in saltwater and corrosion is an ongoing battle. An “el cheapo “ switch that I had previously caught fire due to high resistance from corrosion on exposed parts. Peace of mind on the water is a good thing. Highly recommend this switch.

Used this to replace a Perko switch. This one sits higher than the Perko but still fit pretty well. Could not get the mounting holes to line up correctly so had to drill new mounting holes - not a big deal, I had plenty of room.I really like the way this one switches - not too hard to turn and yet good positive stops at each position.The only reason I deducted a star was that no mounting hardware was included. It's a given that you will need four stainless screws to mount this - it would seem that Blue Sea could include those - I bought four at the hardware store for 27 cents each, but of course had spend $ 2.50 in gas to go get them.Otherwise would highly recommend this.JR Corpus Christi, Texas

This spun right off, it was kinda hard to turn the switch from the start but hoped it was just right, these are made to go 1 way and it was never turned except in the correct direction, bummer is I only had it a couple months, used it maybe 20 times and not chance of a return..

I had a single starting optima and wanted to add some more lights and a better stereo to my Jet Boat. I knew I needed to add a bit more juice and wanted to make sure my family was safe. This switch was easy to install and gave me great versatility on my batteries. You can use one or the other or both at the same time. I purchased the one with AFD because of my high performance system (455 olds engine, with some ponies). Recommended for a single battery cut off or two battery system.

The 3-way switch capability is great to have! The action of the switch is smooth, but solid. It takes a intentional amount of force to move and won't slip or slide out of place. There is no sparks or cracks when switching over. The overall build quality seems great to start and mounts well in both the surface and rear mount methods as described.

Robust and works as it's supposed too. I like the mounting option. Note that it states it is designed for 4gauge cable although the cable from my motor was 2. Just a heads up. Would buy again.
