Good information.
Easy to read. Good information. Very helpful to read before going to a "specialist" doctor for scholiosis. Found myself more optimistic and knowledgeable than my medical doctor.

BOOK IS GOOD FOR REALLY FAT OR REALLY OLD PEOPLE. FITNESS PEOPLE WILL NOT GET MUCH OUT OF IT.
Let me start by saying I'm a 34 year old in-shape male who hits the gym regularly and has a great diet. I purchased this book because I have lived with moderate scoliosis my entire life and I regularly suffer from tightness and muscle pain on the convex side of my curve where the muscles are being stretched by the curvature of my scoliosis. For me, much of the book's information pertaining to diet and lifestyle just wasn't really necessary. I skipped straight to the chapters on stretching and training exercises. I was a little disappointed. Yes, all of the stretching exercises are helpful. However, I found many of them to be extremely basic and almost common sense stretches. I found much of the exercises in the book on the internet and youtube with little effort. This book would be a great resource for people who are extremely overweight or in their senior citizen year looking for a life-style change. For those people that work out and are already in shape, the exercises taught in this book will leave you wanting more. Also, with scoliosis, it is important to strengthen certain muscles on one side of the back and stretch other muscles on the opposing side of the back. I was hoping that the book would provide some guidance as to which muscles I should be building based on my standard S-curve scoliosis. For example, which direction should I do my side plank to hit the correct muscle for my curve. The book merely laid out the exercise but didn't explain which side to focus on for the different types of scoliosis. This is important for people with scoliosis. Otherwise, I could actually be making my scoliosis worse if I were to strengthen the wrong muscle.

Fantastic Book!
This weekend I am finishing up the book I purchased a couple weeks ago. The food ideas, stretches and core exercises are brilliant. I just started the stretches last night and couldn't believe the effectiveness these stretches did for me. I am confident the tools learned in this book will allow me a couple more years in my professional boxing career.I will give the book to my mom to start reading after I finish the book later today. Her scoliosis is really bad. However, I am excited to give her something with such a positive outlook on the disease whether it helps her or not.

Used book described as new
First, the book was conversational on how we see the doctor came to his field. Was really craving all things factual for prevention & do it yourself step by step. Got instead tid bits of general homeopathic remedies. If the author does any future revise, consider step by step, day by day. No need to convince sufferers about your background. Cite research and daily systematic approach.

Not Useful
I was under the impression this book was a newer addition by the author and thus had new information. I found it to have basically the same information as his first book.I do not like the fact that his claims are not verified. There are no before and after pictures of patients, nor are there before and after x-rays or anything of that nature that could prove his plan works.I went to a family Chiropractor years ago and the Chiropractor said basically everything they do is crap. I had a friend who was diagnosed with scoliosis as a pre-teen and she immediately saw a Chiropractor for a number of years. It did not help her either. Also, I do not feel any kind of comparison or understanding can be drawn from a person having severe acne and esteem issues, to, eating unwell and scoliosis.I am a big advocate of healthy eating and a clean lifestyle. With that said, my brother and I ate nearly exactly the same things as children. I have scoliosis and he doesn't. There is obviously a lot more going on than what you put in your body.I wish we had more real information about this disease/condition.

Easy to read and very practical
This book is very well researched and put together. Price, Pottinger and a host of others lend to the body of solid info in this book. Dr Lau seems spot on with his approach to health in general and happens to lay out a very practical list of tasks and exercises to get the body back in alignment. I think he is a Dr of the future, less meds, more real food and being aware of what's happening with your body.Spot on Dr Lau

There is hope for scoly
This book has made me understand scoliosis better, especially the possible cause and what I can do to correct it.Nutrition as part of the remedy to scolosis is eye opening, and has made me to evaluate my daily nutrition more carefully.I have viewed many sites on Scolosis but very few mention anything about nutrition. I find the arguments convincing enough to give a try. I strongly recommend this book to parents and scolosis sufferers.

Interesting
I've enjoyed reading this book even though a large proportion is related to nutrition, which really makes you think. I've not finished the book yet , I've just got to the exercise and rehab section.

Help for Adult Scoliosis Sufferers
I haven't finished it yet, but the book is written in a very readable and understandable style. The pictures are an excellent aid, for all the exercises. I haven't tried the dietary suggestionsbut I will. The whole problem is finding the time for this in an already busy schedule, andthe fatigue and pain that I deal with constantly.
