Disappointed-black and white pages
I was expecting a thin child's story book with coloured picture pages.Instead, I received a thick book, some black and white drawings, and mainly text telling a long story split into a couple of chapters.

The Friendship Club
This is the first in a new series of first chapter books for newly fluent readers. Hello Kitty is starting a new school and she is so excited about meeting new friends. Before long, she has decided to start The Friendship Club and she wants to make everything perfect. However, she soon finds that her new friends don’t all like the same things – can she still make the club fun for everyone? With six short chapters, lots of black and white illustrations, and issues that children will understand (including the important lesson that children's friends will not all like the same things that they do and how to compromise), this will appeal to ages 5+ (depending on reading age) and probably little girls will like the books best, if for no other reason than the pretty pink cover. There are also fun activities at the back of the book, such as making your own Club Membership Cards. The next book in the series is “The School Trip,” and I am sure that my daughter will enjoy following Kitty’s adventures.
