The Action Research Dissertation: A Guide for Students and Faculty

This text is probably one of my favorites about action research. The organization of the content and the scenarios and examples are relatable and effective.

Action research documentation is limited in the social setting I hope to study. This book is helpful in understanding the uniqueness of its approach and the nuances for preparing your dissertation defense.

A great guide as I am beginning my journey toward writing my dissertation!

Very easy to use, helpful for dissertation writing. Unfortunately, it feel to pieces within weeks. The binding gave way almost entirely so I have to use a binder clip on it at all times. Still a useful text but woe be to me if I ever drop it!

For any doctoral student who plans on conducting an action research dissertation study, this book is an absolute must read. Comprehensive, concise, chock full with references to further readings. I'm in proposal mode and wouldn't know half of what I know now without this book.

Well organized, well supported discussion of participatory action research. Used this in my class on qualitative research (Ed.D program) and it's a keeper.
