This review USED to be 5 stars. However... DO NOT BUY THESE. This is because their IFTTT integration is being withdrawn on the 26th May 2020. I am now looking for alternatives along with many other people who these will stop functioning usefully for.OLD REVIEW:These LEDs are really great for decorating any room. I have them mounted around the edges behind my TV. This provides an excellent light decoration that looks great behind the TV. I have them in sync with my Logitech Pop buttons, Alexa and Webhooks via IFTTT, which is essential to being able to integrate it in an IOT environment. The IFTTT functionality puts these LEDs significantly ahead of the other options on Amazon. I am going to order another set next week.

First of all the item is not exactly as described on Amazon.- According to fifth picture from top the light strip comes with "Remote Controller" and can also be controlled over WiFi. Mine did not come with a remote control, only WiFi module. Also I was not able to connect the strip to my Google Home speaker. The Google Home app would not find it on the network, but it's clearly on the network as I can use the dedicated app just fine.- The other misleading thing is that on the same picture the light strip is lit in many different colours in different sections what suggests is uses individually addressable LEDs but it's not the case. Entire strip can only have a single colour at given time.- Finally the quality of the double sided tape used is terrible, it did not last even overnight. In the morning I found the strip just barely hanging behind my TV set. (see attached photo)Unfortunately I bought two sets of these having seen so many good reviews but now I can tell that this is a very poor quality product.

Setting the app up for alexa control is a bit tricky (no included paper instructions) as you have to download the instructions as well as the controlling Magic Home app. Then you need to switch your phone to the led wifi signal, locate the light and switch back to your home wifi to connect them up. However once this is done the lights work nicely and can be totally controlled by remote, app or alexa. Just installed but seems well made and decent value.

Give this 3 stars. This is the second one I have bought and the first one was amazing but this second one the little pin connectors wouldn’t fit in to the plug so I’ve had to use masking tape to hold them together if it isn’t tight they go an off yellow colour or flash. Easy to set up with Alexa and all command seems to work except brightness. No matter what I try I can’t get Alexa to change the brightness on either strip. Alexa says it just can’t do that. Other than that on and off and colour changing works well and is responsive and the smart life app is easy to use. Scenes are ok with the ability to make some changes to the few that exist. Was going to order more but after the quality of the second one compared to the first I might give them a miss.

Good product, easy to install and to integrate with Google Home.It’s not very bright as you can see in the photo hence the 4 star review. Perfect for cupboards or stair stringers . I have installed it in the web of the steel that spans across my living room and it’s good for creating a nice ambient mood when chilling (&Netflixing)

The product arrived and I easily installed using alternative fixings as the tape is atrocious. Easily downloaded app and linked to Alexa. Everything seemed to be ok until I tried to vary colours. NO RED LED! Very frustrating

Good product but the sticky back element doesn't last long and there are no fixings in the box other than the sticky back. Could do with another way of fixing.Other than that they are good lights and remote control from app is perfect good colours and themes built in

The lights are great, real easy to use with Google assistant built into them. We use them in the hallway and up the stairs in the evening, change the colour to a bright yellow until bed time and then change to a dull blue throughout the night for the kids if they get up. Exactly what I needed.
