Brilliant set of inks
I am writing a review of these inks after using these inks for more than 5 months for better understanding of its features. Daytone's new calligraphy inks are highly saturated, lubricated and colorful pigment based inks. They can be used well in certain fountain pens.I am using these inks in Platinum Preppy's, Camlin Presa,Flair Inky's, Schneider Voyage M, Platinum Plaisir, Wing Sung 6359's, Wing Sung 3008 and Lamy Safari without any major issues. The readers must note that the above stated pens have a common feature- The inks filled in these pens are not evaporated even if unused for weeks. My Wing Sung 6359's occasionally give me a starting problem if kept unused for a while but kept the pen in a nib down position for around 30 second, the pen start writing again.Adding 10% water to these inks will solve the starting problem in most of the cases. As this inks are thick and highly concentrated adding 10% water will not dilute its color or saturation.Pros:1. They are highly saturated and lubricated inks.2. Due to their free flow nature they are suitable for Platinum Preppy EF type pens where normal inks are unusable.3. Even on cheap paper there is no feathering.4.So many blue and brown shades are available which can be used as a regular ink.5. As these are pigment based they can be inter miscible without any issues.6. As these are highly lubricated inks you can even use some of them in roller pens. I tried peacock blue in an Pilot V7 hitecpoint pen and writes well.Cons:1. Due to their quick drying nature you may get a starting problem if the pen uncapped or unused for a while.2.You have to buy 15 bottles for trying these inks which contains lot of red's and green's.3. There is a warning on the bottle that 'shake well before use'. If you forget that before taking the ink you may get a lighter color especially on ruby red or yellow. Conclusion: These are the best made in India inks i ever used. At these price these inks are must buy for any fountain pen enthusiastic. Using these inks in Parker Vector or Camlin Trinity pens are not recommended as ink evaporation nature of these pens. These inks are highly suitable for Platinum Preppy and Camlin Presa as even without adding water there is so starting problem kept without using for weeks. The given writing samples are written by Schneider Voyage M, Lamy Safari, Wing Sung 6359,Camlin Presa and Platinum Preppy.
