As a at home baker I needed a knife for cutting/leveling cakes. I took a chance and purchased this one because of the blade length and great price. Best knife ever, it is my go to knife now. Purchased in 2021 and it still works perfectly and blade is still very sharp.

Nicely made serrated knife. While it claims to function as a bread knife, I found it somewhat awkward to use it this way. I think the thin blade, coupled with the length, enables this knife to perform well as a cake knife. Specifically, to cut a cake into layers; where a thin serrated blade with length (to reach beyond the diameter of most cakes) can make a smooth, clean cut. The handle is plastic, nothing elaborate or fancy. It is colored green, reason escapes me. Tested it once on a loaf from a bread machine, and it was passable. I have other bread knives that have thicker blades, with different style of serrated edge, and they comfortably slice a loaf of bread. I don't think I'll use this knife to cut more loaves of bread, unless it's soft crusted, and no other bread knife is available. But, I would designate this knife to layer cut cakes. As such, I would recommend this knife if you need to cut layers of cakes, not as a bread knife. And the price won't break your bank account.

Very sharp

This is my second purchase of this knife (my first went missing after a cake delivery and serving), and I couldn’t be happier. I’m surprised by the sharpness and sturdiness of such an inexpensive product. I’m a baker and use it for leveling, layering, trimming, and serving. It’s worked so well, I’ll probably buy more just in case this one mysteriously goes missing too.

Product is excellent!! But only issue is that it doesn’t come with sheath. It’s sharp knife long like small sword and it should come with protective cover. Product comes with paper cover only.

Great knife for trimming off tops of cake layers but be careful as knife is very sharp! Wish it came with some kind of plastic cover for blade. Otherwise it's perfect.
