Quieter than expected
I have the fourth load in my tumbler now. It is in the basement on a cookie sheet; however, neither has been necessary. The rubber drum keeps the noise down, so it could be used anywhere without disturbing me. It also hasn’t leaked at all.I have been tumbling Petoskey and Charlevoix stones. Supposedly, they should not be put in a tumbler because they are too soft. I have searched several blogs and discovered ideas on how to do it. So far, so good. The final polish cannot be done in the tumbler, but it sure saves time and energy getting the stones ready for polish.I will try harder rocks soon.
