A fuse 😄

If you are buying these for putting in a standard plug, they're the wrong size. Nowhere is this mentioned. I'm sure the fuse itself is fine, but they don't tell you before ordering that they're much smaller than a standard fuse.

Needed for a Tooth brush charger. They arrived earlier than expected so 10/10 on that score. Price I thought was reasonable as well.

The fuses were perfect, thank you......... but, the packaging was ridiculous. For 10 mini fuses you used a large A3 cardboard envelope, which even wouldn't go through the letter box. If I hadn't been in, I would have had to make a trip to the depot...... (see photo)

Like other reviewers, I too found to my amazement that the shaver plug adaptor contained a 1 amp fuse, now previously this adaptor had been working perfectly for years on items such as a rechargable toothbrush, a shaver, and with an old style phone charger. However once I used it on a EU plugged hand router, it blew the fuse in an instant. Now strangely enough I took a drive over to my local Sainsbury store and purchased a more modern version of this shaver adaptor only to find it carried a 13 amp fuse which worked just fine with my router, and just about any other two pin EU style appliance I cared to use it in conjunction with. So it would appear that the 1 amp fuse type adaptors are solely for minor appliances such as shavers only, and as such have now been updated and modified to facilitate larger charge pulling appliances. However I did recall that these fuses had been an absolute pig to aquire in the past, but as per usual, good old Amazon carry just about anything, and just inside 24 hours later, the fuses were on my doormat. My advice, Ditch the 1 amp fused adaptor and get yourself the heavier duty 13 amp type. Oh and yeah the fuses are a bitch to get into the fuse holder, but with a little patience and a little jiggering it around, it did finally fit almost inch perfectly with microns of space to spare.

Just what I needed

Needed a replacement fuse for a Euro adapter but had to buy 10. The other 9 may never get used but this is the world we now live in.

I was happy with this product and its delivery.However, I am still surprised at how difficult the whole purchasing process was. A plug in a shaver adaptor ceased to work. The first thing to do is to change the fuse and see if it starts working. Removing the fuse, I was surprised at how small the 1 amp fuse was. I was later surprised that I could not find any shop that sold 1 amps fuses. Gone are the days of the little hardware shop. There the man behind the counter gives you the advice you need, then turns around and magically finds the part required. So I searched Amazon. But beware! Looking at the reviews I discovered that there are two sizes of 1 amp fuse and that I required the mini-version. When looking at the old fuse, also look for a BS number – mine was BS646.
