Chris Benoit and William Regal vs Ric Flair and Batista 8/10A great tag match with a good blend of different abilities and styles (most tag matches that start off a PPV are above average)Women's Title MatchTrish Stratus vs Victoria 3/10A typical women's match you can see nearly every Monday on RawTyson Tomko vs Steven Richards 0/10A match that was made at the last second (literally) and was a complete waste of time SKIP NOWIntercontinental Title Ladder MatchChris Jericho vs Christian 10/10One of the best ladder matches I have seen in a while and Jericho and Christian have great chemistry in this type of matchNo Disqualification MatchShawn Michaels vs Kane 7/10This match had some great wrestling but HBK and Kane didn't seem to blend well enough so in some places it felt a bit sloppy. Plus Lita being at ringside was a bit annoying (but necessary)World Tag Team Title MatchLa Resistance (Sylvian Grenier and Rob Conway) vs Rhyno and Tajiri 4/10Not as good as the other tag match but it was ok nonetheless.World Heavyweight Title MatchTriple H vs Randy Orton 9/10It started off slow but picked up eventually it also had some sloppy moments in it and the ending was kind of disappointing but it was a great main event nonethelessUnforgiven was a great first class PPV that proved that Raw is the top rate show in the WWE

WWE Unforgiven 2004 Match Ratings:1. Ric Flair & Batista vs Chris Benoit & William Regal 4/5A great tag team opener with Chris Benoit & William Regal really working well together to beat Evolution member's Ric Flair and Batista :) one of the best tag team matches in my opinion.2. Trish Stratus vs Victoria (WWE Women's Championship) 3/5Good Divas match between two of the greats, which are Trish and Victoria. The match ended with Trish picking up the victory over Victoria to retain the WWE Women's Championship3. Steven Richards vs Tyson Tonko 1/5This match sucked and was complete rubbish, this match should have been kept off the card.4. Chris Jericho vs Christian (Ladder Match for WWE Intercontinental Championship) 4/5Great Ladder Match between two superstars who have had experience in a whole range of Ladder Matches. I wouldn't say that this was my match of the night but a match that is a good to watch, with Jericho becoming the new WWE Intercontinental Champion for the eighth time in his WWE career.5. Shawn Michaels vs Kane (No DQ Match) 4/5Match of the night in my opinion with this being a great match and should be match candidate for match of the year of 2004. I loved seeing the return of Shawn Michaels to get his revenge on the psychotic Kane, who had taken him out of action three months ago before this pay-per-view.6. La Resistance vs Rhyno & Tajiri (WWE World Tag Team Championship) 3/5Not a bad tag match :) some good tag team action with La Resistance finding a cheating way to retain their WWE World Tag Team Titles.7. Triple H vs Randy Orton (World Heavyweight Championship) 4/5Great main event with this being the first Orton Triple H match at a pay-per-view with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. I have to admit that Orton shouldn't have lost this one, with this being his first title defense at a pay-per-view but overall a very good match between the two.Best Match: Shawn Michaels vs Kane (No DQ Match)Bad Match: Steven Richards vs Tyson Tonko

Chris Benoit & William Regal vs. Evolution (Ric Flair & Batista)A quite enjoyable opener. Quite long, and very back and forth all the way through.WWE Women's ChampionshipTrish Stratus vs. VictoriaQuite a good women's match (for once). Tyson Tomko gets too involved though, then has a mini match with Steven Richards afterwards.WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder matchChristian vs. Chris JerichoLoved this one. Both men are very experienced in ladder matches and were inventive when utilising the ladder.Shawn Michaels vs. KaneThis match tended to stop and start. Good in parts, but then stopped dead too many times. Above average, but these two can do better.World Tag Team ChampionshipsLa Resistance vs. Tajiri & RhynoAgain, a slightly above average match, but like the first tag match of the night, it was quite back and forth. Wrong team won.World Heavyweight ChampionshipRandy Orton vs. Triple HA great main event. Orton has Triple H's number in this one and dominates alot of the match. Wrong man won again.

Jazz makes an appearance. surprise ending. not bad for a Heat match.Ric Flair & Batista vs Chris Benoit & William Regal 9/10- how does Benoit go from the main event at Summerslam to the opening match? nevertheless, this is a great match. back & forth action that is intense. exciting!WWE Women's ChampionshipTrish Stratus vs Victoria 5/10- ok for a ladies match. one moment in this one helps it get at least a 5. Tyson Tomko & a mystery women make an appearance.Tyson Tomko vs Steven Richards 2/10- last minute matchup. horrible, stinking & stupid. a waste of time. one thing in it is funny & thats it. makes the women's match look like a 10!Intercontinental ChampionshipLadder MatchChristian vs Chris Jericho 10/10- Edge is stripped of the title because of an injury. winner here gets the title. a match of the year candidate. the 2nd best ladder match ever. awesome. intense. edge of your seat action. a must see.Kane vs Shawn Michaels 8.5/10- Lita makes an appearance. pretty good for a Kane match. Michaels carries the big goof well. HBK is the modern day Dusty Rhodes. he gets beat up most of the match. he won't quit, but keeps coming back for more & he bleeds all the time.World Tag Team ChampionshipLa Resistance vs Rhyno & Tajiri 7.5/10- a better match than i thought it would be. R&T work well together. screwjob ending is the only negative.World Heavyweight ChampionshipRandy Orton vs Triple HHH 9.5/10- awesome match. Hunter even looks good in this one. Orton(the new Rock) can't be stopped. these 2 put on one of their better matches. Flair, Batista & Jonathan Coachman make an appearance. screwjob ending is the only thing that keeps this from a 10.Definitely, Raw's best PPV of the year. Raw has left Smackdown in the dust.

I recently purchased this DVD because I used to own it back in 2007 but I let someone have it so I had to get it back and I watched this every other day in the summer of 2007 I really suggest buying it
