Safari Vista Fountain Pen - Extra-Fine Nib, Demonstrator Clear

i bought the lamy safari vista ef as the medium nib was a bit too broad for my smaller handwriting, it did not disappoint. The vista looks amazing, even better than pictures in person and being able to see the complete ink level is also very nice. All the components feel robust and durable, i especially like the metal clip and how sturdy and secure it feels. I did not use the lamy blue ink that came with it as i find it to be too light, i instead used the converter to use brill black ink which worked like a charm. The writing experience was great overall, not the smoothest lamy by a long shot since it's nib is a finer one. If a smooth writing experience is what you want, you'd be better off with a medium nib . there have been no problems with it's working till now with the brill ink, no skipping, no drying,etc simply an exceptional experience overall I'd say the lamy vista ef nib has been an exceptional value especially if you have a smaller handwriting like i do.

My second fountain pen after Kakuno. Before buying thought about whether the quality would be trash or not (if u know about Lamy's pens) but I'm lucky enough to get a fine pen. Also got a converter and all that for just 1785 rupees, which is a good bargain. Just for comparison for the two pens of anyone like fast pens then Kakuno and if anyone like thin then go for Safari/Vista. Tripod grip is must for both, because Kakuno also have slight triangular grip section.

this is really good pen to keep as your signature, Vista is transparent and classy. i got for a good price 1700. You feel You have good instrument in hand, and amazing thing is You have good grip, all german pens comes with tringle grip, this will make the Nib uniform wear and tear and.

Extremely smooth... very sturdy.... slightly bigger size than Safari.... writes smoother than the safari.... you will enjoy it quite a bit.... this will accumulate a few scratches over the years... but the are just part of using it regularly... makes me like the product even more... just go for it... buy it in an offer price if possible...

This is my first ever "proper" fountain pen. The aesthetics speak for itself and it was the best looking beginner pen that I shortlisted. What will win you over though is the moment you make first contact with it in paper. It glides over with total control. If you are looking for a starter into the world of fountain pens, you cannot go wrong with this one.

I ordered the Lamy Safari Vista Fountain Pen from Amazon India for ₹1785. The outer box looked original, but when I opened it, the pen inside felt low quality and looked like a fake. The plastic was cheap, the clip felt weak, and the nib didn’t write smoothly like an original Lamy. Ink flow was inconsistent, and the pen felt uncomfortable while writing. I have used Lamy pens before and this one was definitely not the same quality. Very disappointing for the price. Please be careful before ordering. Always check seller ratings and reviews. If possible, buy directly from Lamy’s official store or from trusted pen retailers. Useful tip: Check nib engraving – original ones are clean and sharp. Look at the clip finish – fake ones often feel loose. Real Lamy pens have a solid feel – this one was very light and cheap. The writing experience should be smooth – mine was scratchy. I’ve attached a photo of the pen I received for reference. Hope this helps others avoid the same mistake.

I have been using this pend for about a month now. For the price, I don't see a better fountain pen available. The nib truly is extra fine, and I am very pleased with it. Using it with noodler's bulletproof black, and it started the ink flowing within half a centimeter of starting to write something, and ink flow is constant and smooth ever since. Not too much, and, unless you leave it out without the cap on too long, not too little. Even if you let it partially dry out, restoring ink flow is easy and quick. On cheap paper, it can accumulate paper fibers under the nib tip over the course of a few days, but these can be removed when this happens by simply wiping it off. Solution: use decent paper. Smooth writing, easy ink monitoring, feels good in the hand. Originally, I gave it 4 stars because the cap makes it a bit topheavy when you are writing, but I have been so pleased with it that I decided to give it 5 stars after all. I'm using it with the converter. Very happy with it's construction, quality and performance - for the price. It's not the classiest fountain pen I ever saw, but it's definitely also not junk either. It's more of a "get it done" functional day to day useful sort of design. I use it everyday, extensively, and have been enjoying writing by hand again immensely with it. It would make a good gift for someone in school, and for someone who would use it for daily office work or writing research notes with, as I do. Not suitable as a gift meant to impress, be high end, or give to someone you are being formal with or who is a superior at work because of the design. Overall, very nice pen. Get the converter. I like the noodler's black ink.

Objet très design, lignes bien dessinées. On aime, ou pas. Plume fine, mais écriture bien fluide. Pour moi: au lieu des cartouches, un adaptateur et une encre de grande qualité. Expérience: je l'ai laissé tranquille 2 mois, réessayé aujourd'hui : AUCUN problème, démarrage instantané. Il existe des plumes plus souples, avec des dorures et tout et tout. Ce n'est pas le même prix... 2 heures d'écriture aujourd'hui : plaisir ! Les Nippons savent fabriquer de la qualité.

I have several Lamy fountain pens, the 2000, AL-Star, Safari and the latest...the Vista. Before I bought the Vista I checked out some reviews and there were many on YouTube. I bought it on price and for the nib that I wanted. Also, some of the parts are inter-changeable. Although in the various reviews there is no difference between the Vista and the Safari, however, there is one, i.e. the logo is printed instead of being edged. Therefore, over time of use, the paint would come off. This is the only downside. Apart from that, the design and built quality is excellent as of Lamy and German engineering. I have no regret in my purchase despite my complaint about the logo issue. It's good value and it is a very good EDC fountain pen. I will continue to buy Lamy pens and my next would be a Safari.
