I had first tasted what was Castleton Muscatel Darjeeling Tea in Darjeeling 15th Nov 2020 (see picture) on 1 Robertson Road near Sonar Bangla Restaurant Hotel the road that leads to the Mall, and the aroma haunted me, lingering in my memory like a delightful dream. What makes this tea so unforgettable is the muscatel flavor—a rare and exquisite characteristic unique to the second flush of Darjeeling teas.The second flush refers to the harvest that takes place from late spring to early summer. During this period, the tea leaves mature under the perfect combination of warm sunlight and mountain mist, developing a rich, complex flavor. Muscatel, often described as having a sweet, fruity, grape-like note with hints of honey and a touch of spiced nuttiness, is a prized hallmark of these teas. Good brew but aroma is missing!
Nice package with tin packed. Liquor is very good with no bitterness and sweeter brew but aroma of darjeeling is missing! If a bit of aroma was there it would be a very nice tea.

Cost should be reconsidered. It is a bit high. Also tea bags of same quality tea is solicited so as to avoid measuring quantity for a cup of tea.

Probably the best muscatel tea on the market at this price
Taste is usually consistent across different cans. So, that is comforting since every batch tastes different. So, I am assuming this box is usually a blend of different batches from the same plantation and season. At this price , this is the best tasting Darjeeling tea for me. I have tried those long leaf premium ones. They taste fine but not as good as this one. This one has golden brown hue with fruity muscatel flavour that isn't too over powering.
