I was surprised at how easy the seeds were to get started and am delighted to see that everything appears to be growing. I am a bit concerned about the next step where I have to get everything to grow in my garden or in pots in the house. In terms of value for my money, the kit was a bunch of seed packets, started soil pods, 3 plastic starter containers, and containers to hold the starter contains. If I had known more about planting stuff (I am not an experience gardener), I probably could have bought everything locally and saved a few dollars. However, I think it was a good way for someone like me to get started growing herbs.

So far so good. Love the ease of this kit and that it comes with everything to get you started. I started seeing sprouts after about 3 days and see a lot more now that it has been a week. the Mustard especially is on a roll. So far I feel this was a great set with lots of different seeds to get you started. i went with the 18 seeds for the variety (plus we really wanted the peppermint). I looked at countless sets and am glad I settled on this one. The pics I added are exactly one week after planting.

What I like:-variety of seeds-seeds have informative info on back-soil is easy to make-easy to follow directionsWhat could be improved:-ensure proper seeds are provided. For example, I got lemon basil rather than Italian basil. Not a huge deal but I probably would use Italian basil more. Oh well!Overall, this is a nice starter kit. I bought a grow light to go with it and everything seems to have gone as expected for the most part.

No growth yet, but I just planted it 5 days ago. It included everything I need and was super easy to set up. There are enough of every variety of seeds to plant more once these have been transplanted. I look forward to having fresh herbs this spring!

Make sure you put the soil pods in UPRIGHT. It doesn't say so in the instructions, but when they expand from the water they need to grow up, not out. The ones I had that grew out had so much pressure from not being able to expand as far as they should that they cracked the plastic tray. And you can't break them up into soil either. See the picture. Very disappointed! I couldn't plant 4 types of herbs because of this. Now I have no soil pods left and only 1 usable tray for 12 herbs, which i had already planted 4 duplicates. Wish I could get a replacement. Will update if my herbs grow, but for now 1 star due to half the kit not being usable.EDIT: The company replied after I contacted them twice and send me more soil pods and another tray. Changed my review from 1 star to 3 for that. The herbs, especially dill, seem to be growing leggy though.

I love this, it's so easy to use and my seeds are growing!My kit came short and white tray but I called the company and I had it in just a few days. I think the customer service with this company is great and I already am planning to purchase additional items.

I really like the set up of this growing kit but none of the seeds I tried would sprout. I know it’s the seeds and not something I did wrong because I used two of these kits simultaneously, one using the seeds provided and the other using seeds I bought separately. After 5 weeks, the seeds provided with this kit had no sign of germination whereas the other seeds I bought separately were sprouted and growing great. I guess this would be a good item if you are buying it solely for the equipment and plan to buy your own seeds, but considering most would expect to use the seeds provided, I cannot give more than one star.

I ordered this, as like most in the nation, I am out of work and stuck at home with virtually no purpose in my life. I thought now would be the best time to try and become a plant mom. Boy was I right! The kit arrived one day before I was expecting it, such a nice surprise when each day feels like a year. I immediately got it set up that day, March 23rd. I got 6 packs of seeds and the planter has 12 cells and 12 soil discs, so I did 2 cells of each seed type. The setup is simple and the instructions are perfect, leaving nothing out. I’m super happy to report that as of today, March 27th, only 4 days later (and they didn’t even get the morning sun on the first day) that 4 of my 6 plants have visible sprouts!!! My babies!!! They’re growing!!!! I get lots of natural light in through my windows so I hoped they would do well, but I can’t express how much joy these sprouts are bringing me during this time especially. I also love cooking so knowing that someday soon I will be able to use FRESH basil, parsley, oregano...PHEW! I’m STOKED!
