The piece holding the blade to handle was loose so cleaning is hard because food gets in the handle. And retains water in handle when washing. Blade is nice and sturdy. Heavy blade makes for excellent chopping. although using the knife it was VERY dull. i spent 30 mins on my tri stone and it is finally sharp. lets see how long it holds the edge.

Best knife I’ve used in a while! You couldn’t buy the steal to make this knife for the price I paid. It is an amazing deal. Just ordered a second one to have in reserve. Was delivered faster than anticipated. Very pleased with this knife.

Beautiful knife, but it came out of the box not very sharp and after VERY light use, was dull. Metal quality seemed very poor, which is unfortunate, because I like all the other TUO knives that I own. Returned the next day after it arrived.

Very thick and heavy blade, so the knife has terrible balance making it more difficult to use. Single bevel (right side, of course).So why do I give it 5 stars? Because it is VERY high quality (except for the wood handle), was VERY sharp right out of the box, and I got it at a GREAT price (because the manufacturer has discontinued this item, I think).Bad balance aside, this is now my favorite knife for chopping.I like this knife so much, that if I see another knife by this manufacturer (Tuo) at a steep discount, I will buy it without hesitation.

Blade poorly fitted into the unfinished wood handle. Plastic ferrule was loose. The single bevel blade was very dull - would not slice paper at all. Bevel was ~ 40 degrees, far from the 10-15 deg usually found on a Japanese knife. Much too heavy - 0.25” thick at the top. I have a 6.5” Kai Wasabi, so I know what a good deba knife should be like.

Terrible knife. Returned.

I can't complain. This Deba knife handles well and sharp. I will recommend it.

Great knife. Don't think the photos shown it well enough, but the blade is only beveled on one side. That was the main surprise for me. Besides that it is a wonderful knife. Good weight to it that makes for easy chopping and slicing. Sharp edge and nice balance. Handle is still securely fastened after 3 months, but looks as though it will become loose sooner than later. Wonderful knife for the price.
